Slowly but surely!

Keianna learns differently than my eldest two, but after being stuck for weeks on A, B, and C, she mastered them overnight.  It was fun to introduce D on Saturday!

Here she is making her NEW LETTER!  Bits of paper bag were the medium du jour.  One letter at a time she's mastering upper case, lower case, and the sounds they make.  Knowing Keianna, she'll have spurts... stall out for month, then suddenly learn them as fast as I can present them!

Are you just teaching her to recognize the letters? My Leah will be 3 the end of Sept and I have thought of doing something with her through the day since her brother and sister are in school all day.

That's one of the many things I love about homeschooling...
They can learn slowly. They can learn quickly.
They can learn at their own pace,
but, surely, they WILL learn.
I like how you've been introducing the letters to her.
I began doing this yesterday with our Beth
and thought of you. (weird, huh?)
I love the photo. Is she outside on a balcony?

Thanks for your comment on my blog.
Will ran 5 laps around the house and Beth ran 2 of them.
I would love to let them run in the winter/snow, too,
but we don't get any of that down here.
But, Who knows, what the future holds?!

Have a wonderful day!

Awww.

I always remind myself that "slow and steady wins the race". I often feel like I am so slow at getting results or outcomes that I desire.

She is so precious! Have a wonderful day. ((Hugs)) Jessie

Sunday, February 4, 2007 - Do you have a template?

Posted by Dynx
Hi. I just checked out your blog after you responded to my post about your children loving God and others. I have some idea about my question (how do you foster a sweet family atmosphere), but would be happy if you have time to write more.

On a practical note, where do you get your templates? Do you do them free hand, buy them, or download them from the web?

Thanks,
Lori
