Marriage announcements from Keianna

Keianna just turned three–an intriguing age. We never know what she will say next.

Yesterday at dinner she told me, "We are going to get another mommy. We will have two mommies." Surprised at this news, I asked why she thought this. Her answer, "Daddy said so. Daddy says we will get another mommy and have two." (Ken (aka Daddy) denies any plans for polygamy.)

Today she had more marital news. At a lull in the lunch conversation she suddenly gave a very important, "Well...." Followed by an an attention getting pause. Then she continued, "My husband is in Colorado." Not knowing of her marital status, we asked the husband’s name. She wouldn’t divulge this information, but told us that he is six years old.

If any Coloradans with six year old boys have further information on this alleged elopement, Keianna’s daddy and I would be quite interested.

That's hilarious! I think my second son was about 3 when he announced to his Sunday school teacher that his daddy hits his mommy. That was news to us!

Dell,

Just wanted to remind you that our Jacob is 6 and we would love to be related in marriage to you guys.

BUT I am not sure how Jacob would feel about this. We can ask him in about 15 years or so if you like.

How funny she is.

We have an 8 year old "Mr. Steady," a 5 year old "Mr. Command Man," and a 6 (soon to be 7) year old "Mr. Visionary." Currently, the six year old is a bit of a whiny space-cadet type. Hopefully some of that can be trained out of him in the next 15 years, so if blond hair, blue eyes, and dimples appeal, he just might be your boy. Then again, he might end up being a polygamist, too. (Where DO kids come up with these ideas?)

We checked with our six year old boy, and he denies knowledge of any elopement with Keianna. Good luck finding your son-in-law.

When Hannah was four she insisted that she was going to marry a Chinese boy named Tan and she even showed us her wedding dress in the Chinese pavilion at Epcot!

Oh my, how funny! I'm still giggling. When Tiki (Boy 1) was four he announced that he was going to marry me when he grew up. I told him that I was already married to his daddy. This did not deter him. He said, "Then I will marry you when he is done with you." May that day never come!

I hope your new year is filled with peace and happiness. Abiding in the Vine!
