Little Brother

Each baby has been so special in so many different ways.

Kieran's personality delights us daily, simply because he's such a smiling, laughing fellow!  An extra treat has been watching the older girls enjoy him.  He's been the first baby they've been able to tend and care for in quite such a mature and active way.  Even though Kaira changed a few diapers even on Keegan (she actually wanted to!), somehow this time is different.

 Here's Kendra with her Kieran-buddy:

And yes, his tongue is usually hanging out like that.  He was doing it on the night he was born, causing the midwife to note, "Well, we don't have to check to see if he's tongue-tied."  We call him a puppy dog, with his tongue lolling out.

"Kierie buddy time" is both Kaira and Kendra's favorite part of the day.  They plan things to teach him and entertain him in this time and are always calling me in to show me what he's accomplished.  His face and theirs glow with pride in each other!

my Nadia is the same exact way with her tongue. Always out. And I completely understand what you were saying. Sonya being 8 1/2 years older than Nadia and 7 years older than Angela is so very much different than when she was almost 5 yrs older than Alayna. She's my right hand some days!!! And she does some diapers. Not many, but hey, I take what I can get!!!!
Anyways. Just wanted to say I know what you were conveying about the dynamics of each child and how completely different they can be based on the age differences especially. It's just so fun, isn't it!!!

Lenea likes to stick her tongue out sort of bite it with her toothless gums and smile at the same time.
Younger siblings are such a treat for all the older ones in our home too. I, being an only child, get much joy and sweetness when I watch my older children interact and love on their younger sibs.

And too funny! Arianna (5) loves chaning Emily's diaper, and even does a good enough job that I can ask her to do it without having to "fix it!" And our midwife said the same thing about Emily! Her tongue (at least so far) is usually just hanging straight out though, and she somehow manages to suck it, in the same way another child does their thumb or pacifier. It is a little odd :)

It is one of the greatest joys of my life to see my little guy and my big kids loving and enjoying each other!

...and the tongue looks familiar too! :)

Your children have such beautiful brown eyes.
