Outside my window… the sun has just barely set, leaving behind a wintry, twilight glow; with the snowy fields and sky above both a surreal blue in the fading light.
I am thinking… that days like today are my favorite: simple pleasures and productivity snug at home.
From the learning rooms… the children are excited to be back to our Tapestry Studies. (History/Literature)
I am thankful for… children who are eager helpers.
From the kitchen…. a big pot of beef stock simmers on the stove, and we have plenty of leftover stew from tonight for our neighbor as well as another meal for us.
I am hearing... water running as Kaira cleans the kitchen from dinner, Kieran humming "Joy to the World", and Ken sighing at the Rockies' score.
I am wearing … a brown corduroy skirt with a green sweatshirt with deer silkscreened on it. (I always think of Psalm 42:1 when I wear it (As the deer panteth after the water...)
I am reading… What Lies Within by Karen Ball
I am hoping... that a recurring and somewhat debilitating itchy rash on my hands will go (and stay) away.
I am creating… um... nothing really this week; other than playing with the camera as usual.
I am praying… for God's priorities to be mine; that I'd use my resources (energy, time, money) for His purposes each day, and each moment. I tend to fall into praying that my plans will be His. Instead, I'm trying to pray that His plans will be mine.
Around the house… fall cleaning continues. The master bedroom is done and I'm working on the study!
One of my favorite things… fresh raspberries (or blueberries, or strawberries or peaches) and cream.
A few plans for the rest of the week… harp ensemble, piano lessons, school and fall cleaning.
