Change in plans
I guess we won't be having our big Easter dinner over here after all. I talked to my sil today and concensus is no one wants to risk getting others (especially the cousins) sick. I'm just not sure we're decontaminated over here. I think my parents might still be coming over, but I'm not sure.
So now I'm sitting here with 2 spiral hams. Goodness. We're not even huge ham fans. I suppose I'll see if I can freeze one. Not sure if that will turn out well or not. It will probably turn into one of those things I find in freezer next year trying to figure out what it is and why I bought it.
The baby made it through the night without throwing up. She's having "diaper" issues today though. She's having a hard time napping. Her tummy pains keep waking her up and so far I've changed 4 dirty diapers (this from a baby who usually only has 1 in a whole day!).
As of right now, my 3yo and I still having succumbed to the illness. I am feeling a bit queasy but I think it's a mind game at this point. I figure if coffee still sounds good to me, I can't be doing too bad.
I took the 12, 10, 7 and 3yos to an egg hunt in Westfield today. We had registered for it a month ago. It was soooooo cold! I'm so glad dh stayed home with the baby. I saw people there with little babies and they were so miserable! The wind was about 20 mph and it felt like it was around 5 degrees. I got my 3yo and 7yo pictured with the Easter Bunny
. My oldest 2 wouldn't even stand in line with us. Too embarassing!
I'm hoping we're all well enough to go to church together tomorrow.

Prayers for Health

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I'm glad I was able to encourage you. I'll be praying your family returns to full health quickly. I've had those 'stomach-virus nights' too and they're no fun!
Blessings,
Cheryl

2 spiral hams! Oh my! Maybe you can just delay your celebration a little and have them over when you are sure you are well. The ham should keep until then. Call it a Spring Fling! (sorry, I am lame, I know!)

It's good to hear you are getting over your sicknesses. Cook the hams, cut up the leftovers into chunks, and freeze them in 2 cup baggies or containers. Then, when you want to make ham soup, or ham and pasta, presto, cook and cut, ready to go. :)

I'm so glad you stopped by my blog! I hope you guys all feel better! We can't get together with my brother's family either because they are all sick with bronchial stuff. So we are seeing them next week. We are still heading to my mom and dad's though. Hope you can still enjoy your Easter!

Hi Beth,
Thanks so much for dropping by my blog for a visit, and for your sweet comment. I hope everyone in your home will soon be ALL well. Our whole month of February should've just been wiped off the calendar...we stayed sick the WHOLE time! Stomach viruses, flu-stuff, and then around again. Not fun!
I'm glad I could be of some encouragement! Believe me...like you, I've had many, many days I'd rather forget during the years. And also like you, I often wonder why God chose me to have these six children. But in His wisdom, He chose the perfect mother for your children (and mine)! Hang in there and pray for grace, grace, and more grace! Now to take my own advice....LOL
Have a blessed day and I look forward to coming to 'see' you again!
Amy
