Was the Monster's Inc. Ride a classic or a flop?

Well, according to people asked right after the ride, It was not worth the wait. The wait at the time was an hour.

 But according to someone asked while waiting for the Electric Light Parade, "it was cute", and "it was sort of like the old-fashioned rides" like Snow White's Scary Adventure and Pinnocchio's Daring Journey.

So we (my family and I) went to go and ride it.

The following is a brief overview of the ride.

You start out by getting into Taxi cars with three rows of seats. Each row fits basically two people. So your Taxi cars start and a little screen to your left turns on and begins welcoming you. Suddenly it is interrupted by news. "A child is on the loose. A human Child." You then see clips from the movie "We can neither confirm or denie, the prescence of a human child here tonight." Then as you get to the end of the tunnel you have been going through, and begin to turn, the TV screen goes completely black.

You then see Mike and Celia enjoying a nice romantic moment. after this Randall peeks from around the corner. This is closely followed by a news reporter interviewing a monster who thinks the child made him do the Chicken Dance (he may say something else when you pass by). If you look to your right you'll see Sulley and Boo right before you go into a panick-stricken Harry Housen's Restauraunt.

Before you leave the Restauraunt you'll see a very mad Celia "I thought You cared about me." Then you see Mike just outside the restauraunt "Celia, try to understand."

This is followed by being surrounded by the CDA. And when you see a CDA car's back open up (It will be on your left), you may want to look away from it. The reason is because a bright light will shine out from the back of the car (This problem has been somewhat fixed. The lights are still there, they're just not as bright).

Once you get away from the CDA you go into the Monsters Inc. building. Remember those two characters from the movie that were hanging up the picture of Mike and Sulley (I don't remember their names, if they gave them). They are in the next room complaining about working the night shift, and "how nothing ever happens."

The next thing you see is Mike ready to pull his hair...uh...I mean horns out in the locker/bathroom. you also see a very well done Sulley knocking on the bathroom stall that you can asume Boo is in. Then get ready for a special effect on your left. Really, it starts more in front of you, and as you pass it, it is on your left. Then you go onto the scarefloor, and see an audio-animatronic, that I think must be one of the worst in the ride, of Randall.

The next room is really well done, but I don't want to ruin the surprise of it. After this room you can get ready for decantamination by the CDA. Then you get a personal farewell from Rozz, that may surprise you.

Overall, I liked the ride. But then again, I didn't have to wait an hour to ride it.

Was there anything wrong with the ride? Well I think that the audio-animatronic on the scarefloor could have used some help, but for the most part I think it was pretty well done.

Things to look for: If you are riding the ride for the second or third time, and you like to look for things here is a few things that I noticed.

1.Right after you get on the ride and before you pass the stalk/ don't stalk stop light, on you right is a newspaper stand and magazine stand. See if you recognize the newspaper and magazine.

2.In the second room (after the tunnel) there is at least two kinds of eyes looking around.

3.when you first enter the monster's Inc. building, and the two characters are complaining about working the night shift on your right, you may want to look to your left, there are name plates next to the doors (this has been changed to a bulletin board).

4.The last thing I noticed was two bulletin boards on the scarefloor. One is on your right when you first enter, and the other is on your left, right before you leave. It says things on it.

When to ride: We found the best time to ride is directly after the Electric Light Parade. We sat near the Hollywood Pictures Backlot section, and after the parade we went to the ride. Instead of having to wait an hour to get on once, we got on twice in about thirty minutes.
