I was in Wal-Mart with my mom, and I noticed a placemat with all of the presidents on it. There was also a placemat with all of the states on it, and my mom decided to get them both.
So, I was looking at them when I started to look for the presidents that were president when Walt Disney was born. Then I found the president who ended his term the same year that Walt Disney was born (1901). His name wasWlliam Mckinley.
Why is this so interesting? Well, if you take his last name (Mckinley), take off the n and l (Mckiey), and move the i two places to the left, you end up with Mickey.
It turns out, however, that he was not President the same date that Walt Disney was born, but it was the same year. According to a book I have, Birnbaum's 2006 Walt Disney World For Kids By Kids, Walt Disney was born on the date of Dec. 5, 1901, and, according to this placemat, President William Mckinley ended his presidencey on 09/14/1901.
But I still found it interesting that you could make Mickey out of the name of a president that ended his term the same year as the original artist of Mickey Mouse was born.
