Wednesday, October 8, 2008 - Killing the procrastionation spider.... |
So i just got back from my first night at a new house church! it was superb! i luv the people and we had a great discussion. our assignment for next week (which is our quad-prayer week) is to think of two or so people you would like to diciple/build a really strong relationship with. i already probably have the two people...but i won't share till i know! haha. :-)
so while my mom and I were praying tonight (it's a nightly thing we do), my mom was praying for my knee. it's really been acting up and i have been having trouble walking lately. a thought came to me, that my pain...really is teaching me something. i have everything within my reach to help decrease this pain, but i'm not doing it. i'm PROCRASTINATING. it's my addiction. it's my idol. i thrive on procrastination. it's a sin, i know. i need to realize every day is a war with my idol. i have to kill it, every day. i have to kill it, and then surrender myself to the wonderfulness of getting things done. it's really tough for me, especially with our new foster baby, but procrastination is a very bad habbit.
i have all of the tools i need for exercising my knee and strengthening it.
i have a place to go to for a knee brace.
i have excellent shoes that help both my back and knee pain.
i really don't have any room to complain. i just have to get off my butt, stop thinking about doing things and just do them. my first step is that when i read, i'm gonna exercise while i do it. when i read my history or for free reading, i'm gonna stretch out and do my simple exercises that take little effort.
please be in prayer for me as i go through this. it's definitely painful, but it needs to be done. my relationships count on it. my relationships at HOME depend on it. my whole life depends on it.
and while we're on the subject of prayer, please pray for my mom. the baby has been a little fussy lately, and it's been going from hot to cold, and the baby doesn't really enjoy that. :-) thx!
I'll talk to you later.....have a great day!
love,
Sunshine
By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

You are growing up into quite a young lady! It is amazing to see how much you have grown up since our days in History coop. Egypt, Rome and Greece can't compare to our eternal home. Sarah, Hannah and Lydia would love to have travelled to see Kurt Cameron. Keep growing up in Him.

About Me
I AM: a daughter of the King of kings. A garden locked up. not my own. bought with a price. a mirror for Christ. 13 years old. homeschooled. imaginative. loved. precious. a servant.
I LOVE: my Abba. music. hugs. close friends. the Word. using my imagination. giving out God's love and mercy. pouring myself out to others. journaling. playing piano. playing guitar. my Mama and Papa.
I WILL: give up my life for someone else. live overseas. roam the earth. adopt a child. die for Christ. fall in love.
I HATE: sin. lying lips. two-faced people. false modesty. blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
