I wanted to address your concerns to a wider audience and make sure they can find the support they need on the journey of homeschooling their one student, their only, their first, their last, their grandchild, their one at home while their other(s) are in another educational environment that is better for that other child....
Please check out my HOO Messge Board!

God does indeed bless the womb and the children given are a reward, but no where does it say that we get points to have multiple children. AND no where does it say when the Lord withholds children that it is a indication of sin or that the couple are doing someing "wrong".... Sad how man can look at God's Word and make assumptions.
Hs'ing & raising an only child has both pluses & minuses, challenges & blessings when compared to those who have more children. Sometimes it is harder! There are times when it is easier... and there are lots of times, it is just plain different!
HOO is getting close to 150 registered families, all hs'ing only one! You will find support, as well as others who can help hold your hand, give you suggestions from their own experience, commiserate with you when you hit the rough patches and need a shoulder to cry on, and rejoice with you on the victories!
