So... with Addi, Fran & Renz all right here in Fresno... and LA only a short 3 hours away .... Of course Liz & I had to pack the girls into the car for a trip to The American Girl Place! We left at 5am and arrived at the door at 9am. Since they didn't open until 10 we had time to walk the street and grab a cuppa cocoa before we headed back to be first in line. As soon as the doors opened we were off....
First stop- the doll hair salon where all the "girls" had their ears pierced and their hair styled. How cute is that?
Next we went up stairs and the exploration began. What a fun shop! We had until our seating at 12:30 to check out the store and it took us that long to see most of it! The girls were just loving it... okay, so us moms were just loving it too!
At 12:30 we surprised the girls by having reservations for lunch. What a delight! They did such a grand job of making it be special for everyone. Cute cute courses, little touches that made us ooh and ahhhh all throughout the hour long lunch.
After we were done eating lunch it was time to make the hard decisions .. what the heck to buy! It took us a while but we were outta the store by 2:15 and started the trip back home.
Liz & I were thrilled that the girls could go together-- what a memory maker a trip to AG was! |
