Lupton's Loving Life
Jun. 29, 2009
I love Mondays

This morning for breakfast I made up:

 a batch of strawberry muffins

strawberry banana yogurt (from scratch-still LoViNg it, it was SO nice!!)

and OJ, pineapple and banana fruit smoothies.

At our place we had two sittings. The first sitting was for the four of us that were awake, before the guys headed off to work for the day…

the second sitting was for one little sleepy-headed beauty. Ü

After the princess had her brekkie, we hit the road with our handy-dandy-taxi-dude. Today we went to all of the memorials and monuments in the city. It was a nice full day. There were a number of stops and a ton of pictures to be had.

After our full outing, we stopped to grab some grub at a nice café right down the road from our house. On the way home this sign caught my eye ..

What? You can’t read it?

Oh, Here ya go:

Ya, remember those open sewers from the Hazards of Street Walking post a few days back? ….

Just outside our front door there are drinking coconuts for sale.

Today, we stopped to buy one on our way home.

Addison is my guinea pig of the day …

I really am a chicken. Ü

As the family was sitting down to dinner…

“Mom, did you bake that bread today?”

“Why, what would make you think that I made this beautiful loaf of bread ?”

“Oh, I don’t know.... maybe because you’ve taken, like, 12 pictures of it.”

I am so transparent! Ü It was REALLY good bread.

Hope your Monday was full of wonderful things. I *love* my job!!!

I am so glad your family is adjusting to life in Ghana! I really enjoy reading your blog. I was wondering if you would mind posting your recipes for the yogurt and strawberry muffins. Both look wonderful! Thanks!
