Lupton's Loving Life
Sep. 29, 2009
Tuesday morning

Our internet has become an issue! It’s just little things- like having no service, having service the speed of dial up and getting timed out of most things I am trying to do! West Africa connections! Urgh!

The guys are on week two of their courses at Liberty U. It is a lot of work and they are learning how to manage their time to accomplish their goals. Of course, if the internet was not down for 4 days last week- they might have had a better start. Poor guys! Their classes are taking a lot of time! Poor me, hey can’t play anymore!

Addison is in full school mode now too. She is working her way through Hitty and enjoying the lessons a lot. It is kinda funny though, so many things we miss out on bynot being able to run out and purchase ...this little thing or that ...to make something or other. (Like raspberries- they are not available here- so she couldn’t make anything with them where normally, those are our favorite bits of the learning).

Paul and I are on week four of The Marriage Course. We are enjoying it a lot. I like it because we have to have date time and I am crazy mad for my date time! I had never heard of this course before.

Yesterday was a preventative maintenance day at our house-early in the morning I had 6 guys descend upon our home and stay all day long- changing light bulbs, oiling hinges, cleaning the air cons and water distiller,- they pretty much gave everything a once over and fixed anything they could find. Nice, right? …. The funny bit is…. for the first time ever since we have been here … we ran completely out of water last night! Our spare water tank was completely empty. we had to ring and they brought the water truck round about 10pm. Kinda funny, fix all the little things but miss the big ones. Ü

It’s time to order in for thanksgiving and Christmas so I just sent my mom a good sized shopping list for Costco. Not shopping for Christmas gifts- that part I am done with… shopping for food items that we need to make our holiday goodies. I wish they had a Costco on line, but am thankful she is willing to go (or send dad) to do a shop for us.

I am working up ideas Dev and Addis birthday parties… they each had some… now I am trying to finalize it all.

The kids have joined in on some dancing society- they are loving it! The group is fairly active and will keep them moving.

Paul and I are planning a trip away in November. I have been busy susuing out our destinations, looking for things to see and do, history to brush up on and

That’s a little bit of a catch up.

Sometimes it is so hard being out of the country-

so you don't feel so isolated!!

I'm sure it's harder than you are saying and it's great you are focusing on what's going well. Glad you and Paul are getting to do a marriage course together and have some special time.

Want or need anything from our way, I'll send it over - just let me know. RA #9, Erak's Peril is out on 1 November....
