Lentil Cheese Savory
Combine and simmer in a covered saucepan for 15 minutes: 1 cup lentils 2 ¼ cups cold water
Add and simmer 30 minutes more: ½ teaspoon salt 2 cups chopped tomatoes or 1 cup sauce
Fry separately: ¼ cup margarine 1 large onion, sliced
to fried onions add: 1 cup grated cheese lentil mixture
Place in a greased 9X9 pan and bake @ 350 for 20 minutes (I add a ½ cup bread cubes or tortilla crumbs- so you could add some type of bread or tortilla chips (corn?) that you can have.) |
