Have to tell you about this one! We had heard about Netflix while we were in You can sign up for just under $20.00 per month. You can make a long list of movies to put in your line up. They ship you three movies at a time, in a prepaid return envelope. You keep the movies for as long as you like (no late fees) and drop them back in the mail… and they ship out three more- or one or two…as many as you returned from your list. You can cancel at any time. In the states your movies can come in as little as one day! We decided not to buy a DVD player that will play movies from this region… so we are unable to rent movies while we are here. So, Netflix is a great option for us! But it is a really a great deal for anyone that watches movies… Here’s the best part… they have so many movies to choose from! I was amazed! Last summer when we were in Netflix has everything! I was thrilled with all of the old Disney movies, gotta love Fred MacMurray, Don Knotts and Kurt Russell when he was young! There are so many good ol’ movies that my kids have never seen… Suffice it to say… our queue is rather long after just a little while looking through the selections.
They even have Bonanza! And since we love Pa … The boys will get a kick out of Little Joe! Anyway it’s one of those things that I am thinking it is a great deal. So, you know I would be going on and on about it if you came over while you were running around today. Just had to share…. I don’t like anyone missing out. |

Emily Dickson said: "There is no frigate like a book to take us to lands far away" I say, "in our house books are like feeding two teenage boys.... you just can't get enough!"
The kids always have their noses in one book or another. Usually they have a few going. Some are required for school work and others are added just for fun.
Whatever reasons to read- to take a frigate to a new land or to ward off the hunger of your soul... "do it. Just do it." Our current read alouds are: Heaven's Heroes- tales of missionary struggles an triumphs. The Long Patrol- we just really enjoy the Redwall books! Our “ just because” books currently are: Dylan: Swiss Family Robinson
Donna: Song of the Morning, Life Lessons from Corrie Ten Boom, and many articles on homeschooling high school
So, what are you reading? If you come across any great reads, do pass the names along. . . We are always on the look out for something good to read. |
