Back from Hunting

Some pics of God's Creation in Wyoming.  I had a fun time.  First few days; Sunny and HOT.  Then all of sudden we had gale force winds and rain and then..POW....snow.  We were hunkered down in the brush trying not to blow away.  Great wildlife in Wyoming...although we didn't see any chiggars or mites, there were plenty of ticks.  (I only saw one mouse the whole time...we let it live)My family and I spent today processing my deer into cuts of steaks and scraps to be ground into burger.  I think of all the amazing things God created, the family is among the most beautiful.  I'm grateful for mine and this will be my last year hunting Wyoming because somethings are more important than hunting...........not many things mind you, but somethings.  Next on the hunting agenda will be the one I've looked forward to the most......Taylors first year hunting.  We will have a chance to hang out in the woods with rifles with the guys....what more could a guy ask for!!  Tay is our oldest son.  He's a good shot, a tough kid with a tender heart, a gentle spirit and a love for God.  He's been a little frustrated lately......there aren't any boys his age around here, so I think it will be good for both of us.  Ben can't wait to be old enough.  Now, if I could get Dalyn and Tori interested?????

i am glad for dayln that you are back. and the pictures were beautiful; um especially the one of the uh, carcass.
thanks for the tips on killing stuff. i see you are an expert at killing all manner of things and so i value your opinion. however (praying this is so...) i think i actually have poison ivy. i really really really hope it's poison ivy, because i am very anti-bug-that-crawls-upon-people-and-bites-them.
the end.

Jen, the thought of poison ivy crossed my mind when I read your most recent post and saw that the rash had spread to the kids. Ick. You poor guys!

Douglas, I am loving your humor (as well as Dalyn's). Are y'all related to Jen and Gena? You all make my day with your easy humor!

NEVAH!
I love ya. Glad you're home, glad you are NOT going hunting in Wyoming again (and I have witnesses you said that now!), and glad to have a freezer full of meat.

I have to go do Tae Bo with the kids now.
