| Hello to all 5 of my regular readers, and blog-jumpers out in HSB-land :-) Update: A big welcome to Tweeps coming in from @homeschoolnews! Please make yourself at home. I just thought as we approach the new school year and begin finalizing our curriculum choices, that I would once again plug a really great spelling program called All About Spelling.  I blogged about it several months ago, and you can click over to that entry to read about how positively it impacted my 7 year old son as he began reading independently and learning phonics and spelling rules. They have several new products that have come out in the last few months that might be of interest as you put together your language arts curriculum: ~ Level 5 has come out, I believe earlier this year Unsure which level to start at? Check here. Don't forget about The Chatterbee, where you can connect with other homeschoolers and tutors discussing the AAS program, and all aspects of teaching language arts. These discussion groups have a lot of valuable tips and information to share in. We are looking forward to starting Level 2 this school year, and hope you will find All About Spelling to be a great fit in your homeschool as well. ~ |
