Research...

This evening my kindergartener piped up, "Daddy, four minus two is two".

While we do things like "two plus what equals four?" during our class time, we have not formally introduced subtraction yet, so we were pleasantly surprised by this "leap".

After praising his correct statement, my husband asked him, "What is four minus one?"

The answer...

"I haven't researched that one yet."

Aren't kids so cute?
