Not Me! Monday

Posted in Not Me! Monday

Like the Robin's Nest... it's baaaaa-aaack!

Not Me! Monday, hostessed by MckMama, the weekly place of confession where mommy-bloggers galore regale you with tales of what they under no circumstances did not do.  Because what mommy in her right mind would do that anyway?

Not Me! Monday

My house does not need a deep cleaning.  Really.  I live in what some have referred to as a "Stepford" community.  You know, the reference to the movie where the wives and the children and the homes are all perfect and just-so?  So my house is pristine at all times.   Riiiight... I think I missed that memo.

Due to the spectacularly orderly nature of my home, we are not missing the main remote from the entertainment center... you know, the one that controls the TV, the satellite receiver box, and the DVD player among other things.  The kids and I know how to get around this, because the remote does not frequently disappear during the day and reappear just in time for my husband to get home anyway.  Since it has not been missing for something like a week, my husband is at his wit's end.  I have assured him that it will turn up just as soon as I have time to "deep clean" and organize the house... just as soon as school is over for the summer (I hope).

I am not also missing my GPS unit and one half of my toddler's only pair of shoes.  Both of these items are not suspected to have been well hidden in plain view by said toddler.  Until the deep cleaning that doesn't need to be done occurs, these items will not probably stay missing.

I think you get the idea :-)

Welcome to the home of a homeschooling family approaching the end of the school year!  We love to have your company - just ignore the mess.

Check out MckMama's blog for other Not Me! Monday confessions.  If you are inspired to create your own Not Me!, there is a prize offered this week for participating, just be sure to check out MckMama's simple rules before you start.
