Palms of His Hands

"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it." ~ William Arthur Ward

• May. 29, 2007 - When what to my wondering eyes should appear....

but this:

Can  you guess why they call it a diamond back rattler????

I'm sorry to inform any animal rights activists who may be reading, but we weren't about to let this rattlesnake live in my mom and dad's flower bed or anywhere else for that matter.

I thought it looked pretty big to have only one rattle and a button.  Needless to say, we treaded quite carefully for the rest of our Memorial Day visit.

That's one thing that I DON'T like about the south. My dad saw a snake in the front yard a few days ago. Now I'm paranoid. Ugh! Glad you got rid of that one. I'm no animal rights activist and I'm certainly not a snake rights activist. In fact, I'm rather Biblical in my approach to snakes - "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Gen 3:15

Yikes! Your pictures don't come through on the RSS feed (Bloglines), but when I read about a rattlesnake, I had to pop over and see it myself. YIKES! I agree with the comment above me -- we have Biblical reason to detest snakes. :-)

Your blog is adorable. That background is cute!!
