What an honor to be featured in Cindy Rushton's "Time for Tea" e-zine this month! (Does anyone know how to punctuate an "e-zine"? Do you underline or quote it?) As she says, we go waaaaaaaaaaay back...but we're not old . (Quite honestly, I'm older than she is .) She's not the first homeschooler I met, but she is the first homeschooler I knew. We became precious friends during a difficult time in my life, and I hold dear those days we sat at the park watching our children play. She taught me to smock there! (I still have my pleater, though I haven't used it in quite some time.) O, yeah, we also spent quite a bit of time talking . (What fun!) Our time together was short as my husband and I moved to various places of service, and she moved to North Alabama. Unfortunately, we lost touch for a while. Then, about a year and a half ago, a friend of mine sent me some info about a newsletter for teens written by Elisabeth Rushton. Now that name (and spelling) rang a bell. But the Elisabeth Rushton I knew was only about three years old, wasn't she? Much too young to be putting out a newletter. Time sure had gotten away from me, for it was the same Elisabeth Rushton. Then I discovered that Cindy's writing career and ministry had blossomed into full bloom and was incredibly blessed. When I saw her articles on "Homeschooling the Easy Way" on her Mom2Mom Discussion Board I knew I'd found a gold mine. I've since implemented many of her ideas into my own homeschool. She is a precious jewel, and I can tell you, she always has been. So, thanks, Cindy, for the plug. And thank you for sharing your "Let's Make Decorated Journals" with me!
Love ya!!!!!
