I've missed blogging lately, and reading your blogs even more so!
It's been crazy around here, trying to figure out all the details of moving, fixing up our house, buying a new one, deciding which part of Indianapolis we're going to relocate to, thinking about new churches...
Last week, my husband was home, which was really nice, except he had turned in his laptop to his former employer, so we had to SHARE this computer. Needless to say, there wasn't any time for blogging. The little time that I did have on the computer was spent looking at Real Estate listings. I'm hoping that I can spend some time catching up with all your blogs before I have to start the serious packing!
There were some neat times in the midst of the craziness. One fun treat was to meet REInvestor and her family. They were in our area and stopped by! DH said I was so cool, meeting friends on the internet! We had a fabulous time getting to know them a bit. (Thanks again for stopping in!)
Another interesting occurance was randomly meeting a family at church who was visting from Indy and will be moving out here soon. We found out we had a lot in common, including homeschooling, so I invited them over for lunch so that we could advise them about this area and homeschooling stuff here and so they could tell us about homeschooling, churches, good areas to live, etc. in Indy. It was a fabulous visit and my only regret is that they won't be staying in Indy, because I know we would have been great friends! Still, it was very helpful and since I don't believe in coincidences, I'm still praying about whether God has a greater purpose in bringing us together (beyond the encouragement aspect).
Saturday night, some friends from church threw us a Suprise Going Away Party which was such a blessing and a lot of fun. Then last night, I went to my last homeschool Mom's Meeting with the group I've been apart of since we moved here 4 years ago and have been the leader of this past year. This group has been such a tremendous support and encouragement to me! I managed to keep myself from crying until one of the ladies prayed over me and then I just couldn't help it. She is one of the most unique and delightful women I've ever met in my life! We are truly going to miss our friends here dearly!
In the midst of everything, we've pretty much decided that we're done with bookwork until we get settled in our new home. I taught 2dd6's last FiaR co-op last week, I'll blog about it when I have a little more time. 3dd5 has a couple more co-ops remaining, (but I don't have to teach those), and we have one more Poetry Recital (anyone know any good Music poems?). Otherwise, we'll just do some reading and call ourselves "Unschoolers." Why stress?
Praying for all of you!
