Mar. 15, 2007 - Please Pray for Passports!

You may remember that I requested prayer for some college friends several months ago who are adopting 3 kids from Liberia, Africa.   Well, I'd like to ask you to keep praying!  The adoption paperwork has gone through, and they became official parents on November 29, 2006, but they still do not have their kids because they continue to wait for passports.  After months of waiting and praying, there was hope that the passports would be issued in time for them to go next week, but alas, no passports.  They are quite discouraged, although they continue to trust in the Lord.  I cannot imagine what they're going through, but I can pray, and I know that there are some pretty fabulous prayer warriors who read this blog, so would you please pray too!   Thanks!

Okay, it's now 3:30am and I really, really, really, need to go to sleep!

Goodnight?

Angel

I am new to your site, but I have prayed for your friends, and I will continue to pray. I'll check back to see how it goes.

I'll defintitley keep your friends in prayer. That would be hard to know that your children are waiting for you in who knows what kind of conditions.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving your encouraging comment!

Yes, three at once, and they have ZERO right now, so they're going from 0-3 overnight! That will be a prayer request for another day! :)

I prayed for your friends and hope that the Lord will provide the passports soon, if it's His will. I appreciated your last post about Leviticus. I agree that the whole Bible was given to us for a reason, the New Testament is incomplete without the Old Test. I hope you continue to enjoy learning through your Bible reading. I've been having severe trouble sleeping myself. Not fun! Take care.

As an adoptive parent, I can appreciate what they are going through. We will certainly pray for them...for God's perfect peace and for His will to be done, in His perfect time.

We just got home from the big event we've been planning for months. It didn't go as we hoped, and we're emotionally and physically exhausted. On top of that, I'm finally slowing down enough to think about out kids. So in the midst of my little pity party, I just read your post and the comments. What an encouragement to be reminded that God is hearing the prayers of our friends and those we've never met on behalf our family. I'm still probably going to have myself a good cry before bed, but I feel much better than I did a few minutes ago!! ~Becky
