Apr. 3, 2007 - More Spring Flowers

I continue to be awed and amazed by the glorious flowers that keep popping up in my garden! I can't resist taking pictures and sharing them with you. These pictures hardly do them justice; I would so enjoy taking a photography class to learn how to better capture the deep colors. It would help if they would freeze for a moment and stop swaying in the gentle Spring breeze so poetically. If you happen to know the names of any of these varieties, please share with me. The pink and white tulip may be 'Claudia' and the yellow & pink may be 'Banja Luka.' Also, on the new image window, there is a box for "border" but I don't know what to insert into that box to put a border around the pictures, nor do I know how to center them or get them to line up side by side. If anyone has some technical advice along these lines, I'd appreciate the assistance!

and I just love the picture of your girl with those flowers... I am going to get some flowers at the store today and start some seeds and a few bulbs out on the porch... hopefully its not too early. for here.

What gorgeous flowers! It looks so very springy. Right now we have six inches of snowfall since last night, and it hasn't stopped yet! What a contrast. Are you all ready for Easter? Do you do matching/similar dresses for your girls like your mom used to do?

I really like what your daughter is wearing. It really makes the picture! Nice flowers, too. You've inspired me to take pictures of my flowers. Both of them that are out now. We live a ways north of you. And we're expecting freezing temperatures for the rest of the week. I guess it's good the rest of them aren't up yet! My husband is worried about any buds that might be out on the fruit trees.

I liked the big flower in your bottom picture. She's the best one of the bunch. How old is she? I'm trying to determine which of my little girls she'd hang out with. :) if we weren't just cyber buds.

Those are beautiful pictures. I love tulips. When I lived in Oregon, we would go to a Tulilp festival and it was so much fun to see acres of tulilps.

Thanks for sharing those. It can be difficult to get good close-up shots but yours look so beautiful! We are expecting snow again here tomorrow night and I'm still waiting for the spring flowers to appear.

So after those gorgeous spring days, did you enjoy the arctic blast we got on Wed? I have a fire in my fireplace today, and on Tues my girls were in flip flops and shorts! I guess that's Indiana for you! I'm ready for God to bring back the flip flop weather. Beautiful girl, beautiful flowers!

I love the beautiful flowers! My favorite has always been the pink tulip edged in white.

As far as centering photos on your blog I periodically have the problem where they do not center based on how my text is justified. Even selecting the picture and then clicking on the center justify button does not always help. Today I clicked on view source, then located where the link my photo was in all of the jumble and inserted <center> in front of where it says img src. (I am not looking at it right now but I think that is where I inserted that). If you want to try it and have any other questions just email me. -- Amy
