( Warning this may contain bizarre information, and was written by a nut.)
Hi, I'm Ditto. I'm a complete nut and proud of it. I'm fascinated in sword play; especially the claymore.
I like listening to Christian music. My favorite band is Kutless my favorite singer is David Meece.
I like everything from“Spider-Man” to “Veggie Tales”. Favorite book is “Lord of the Rings” by J.R.R.Tolkien, but my second favorite is “Holes” by Louis Sachar.
( This is an interruption brought to you by E.B.M.A. You are reading a nut's post. We advise you to leave. Thank you. )
Grrrrr. Who are you and why are you posting on my family's blog?
( We are the E.B.M.A. Eaglewood Blog Monitoring Association it's our job if we didn't what would we do? )
Well, you could change your name and pester someone else, or you could decide to get a life and stop pestering people and calling them nuts. Oh, by the way, are you government funded or are you just pestering me for the fun of it?
( Well, you called your self a nut, too. We are not government funded, but we are trying save the blog world. )
(E.B.M.A. Logging off)
Well, anyway... I'm trying to tell the world about myself. I like doing the voice of Smeagol out of “Lord of the Rings” and I especially like arguing (in my Smeagol voice) with my dad's Donald Duck impersonation. Well, I told you about myself
I posted this on my other blog last year and thought I would share it here as well.
It seems that I have been posting on a number of subjects, yet I have neglected to post about some of the most important people in my life, my children. I thought I would post something about each one just to let you know I have the best children in the world.
Ditto: He is my creative one. Words are tools that he uses to paint pictures. He has great stories and I look forward to one day seeing his work published. He is also a die-hard football fan, he works on creating plays and enjoys dissecting what went wrong on a particular play from the coaches perspective, and dissecting how a coach made the wrong choice in a situation.
Pookie: She is my nature girl. She has been given a gift with animals. At the tender age of ten I have lost count of the number of animals of all types she has rescued. From a kitten that the mother spurned, a dying dog she coaxed into eating and drinking (saving it’s life) when no one else could, a young bird that she (with help from her brother) kept alive weeks longer than the vet said she could, to an injured baby rabbit (mother was killed by a coyote while the children watched) she kept calm until a rabbit rescue group came to get the bunny. The thing I am most proud of is how she overcame a hearing problem from an undiagnosed for over a year ear infection. Because of that hearing problem she had a hard time learning to read. She is now ahead of her peers in reading.
Sneefert: He is the prototypical boy in motion. I am so glad he is not in public school. He would be pigeon holed, as ADHD and nobody would see his value. He is extremely intelligent and understands math instinctively. He is an auditory learner and has talked since he was five months old (I jokingly say he started talking a 5 months and has not stopped since.) Also at seven he throws a tighter spiral than I have seen professional quarterbacks throw.
Puddleglum: This child when he grows up is going to be a very large man. At 4 ½ he weighs more than his seven year old brother by a good 15-20 pounds. He is not fat he is just big. He is also twice as strong as Sneefert. He is very precocious and is the family clown. You can almost count on him to say something or do something to make you smile. He is also the most sensitive one when someone is feeling down and will try his best to either comfort or cheer up.
This again is for those who have not been following our personal blogs or for those who are that want a little bit of information about us.
Birdie and I have been married over 15 years and we have five children one of which is in heaven with Yeshua. We have Ditto (our oldest at 14), then Pookie (she is 11). Both of them will be posting entries here from time to time. We also have Sneefurt (he is 7), Puddleglum (he is 5), and Samuel (went to be with Yeshua after 38 weeks gestation). We are a home educating family of the eclectic variety. Meaning that we have found the best approach to educating our children is to tailor what they learn and when they learn it based upon their individual bents.
Birdie is obviously a stay-at-home mom and the primary educator of our children. When she posts here you will like her. She is funny, charming, and very engaging. She has a wonderful, and interesting view on life, but that is what I get for marrying a woman with ADD. I will let her introduce herself.
I on the other hand am more serious. I do have a sense of humor, but it rarely shows in my writing.I am currently occupied as a test technician in a major medical instrumentation company, but my real calling is a ministerial calling. I will talk about it some here and will cross post some of my writing on my personal blog here as well.I refer myself a prophet because my calling is not that of a pastor or ministry leader, but of some one who is dedicated to spreading the truth of Yeshua’s gospel. (A side note here I use the names of Jesus fairly interchangeably. I prefer using Yeshua, as that name is His Hebrew name.) Most of what I write here will be my personal stuff, like my struggles to learn archery (my new hobby), my political rants, comments on the news, or how I am coping with the recent loss of our youngest child.
After much deliberation Birdie (my wife) and I have decided to create a family blog, which will share the views and concerns of our older children and ourselves. We will keep our existing blogs, Eaglewood’s Nest will become an extension of my ministry work as I had intended for it all along, and Birdie just wishes to keep Wings and Prayers going along with this one. From time to time we will cross post, but this forum will also add the views from our 14yo son, Ditto, and our 11yo daughter, Pookie.
For those of you who have come here from someplace other than one of our other blogs here are the links to them.
