Insanity Runs in My Family...It Practically Gallops!

Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - In which Caspian learns about the Old Narnians....

Earthling, along with the help of Youtube and NarniaWeb, is proud to present

Two exclusive clips from the blockbuster movie

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

Yes, you heard it right, my friends.  Below are two clips from Prince Caspian that did not make it to the movie. Although we have heard about a few edits that will hopefully appear on any future DVD's to come, these are two that have been released, as they were included in the Prince Caspian video game.  A lovely fan was kind enough to share them with us, so here goes:

I really like these clips, and I hope they appear in the extended edition of the dvd, or at least in the deleted scenes. I understand why they aren't in the movie, as there really is no perfect place to fit them and may not make sense to non-book fans. However, I think they are very meaningful for book fans, and they do a fantastic job setting up Caspian.  Plus, more Professor time is always good! I feel these two clips really help set up the story, plus capture the spirit of the books--and the awe that Caspian felt over discovering the Old Narnians were, indeed, real!

Enjoy!

Cool clips. I think the movie would be better with them.

I don't really know how it feels..... I guess I'm relieved that I won't have to go back to doing school when summer is over, but I still have college. I guess I'm not so excited because I still have "school" to do. ;P Yeah, I was very very confused by the college/career thing, and I felt quite lost in everything until this year. We can talk anytime. :D Do you have an instant messenger?

I know! Hehe

No, I've nevere seen Meet John Doe. I've heard of it though. It is a Capra too?
I know! I know! I was yelling, "Catch the bottle! It's tipping off the shelf! They'll hear you!" at the TV because, yes, that has happened to me before.
It was so poignant that Ed got to smash the ice, after submitting to her powers in the last one......
The night raid scene was just heart-breaking for me, too. That and Lucy hugging Trumpkin in the end! Boo hooooo!
You're right about Susan/Caspian, too. It was more natural for that to happen.
I just did more movie reviews......:)

Yes, I know. It is shameful! :-) Out of the two, Indy was the majority pleaser. Daddy has never seen the first Narnia, and my brother Thomas, (Odd boy at times! jk), doesn't really seem to care about seeing Prince Caspian, and since I wanted to see both, we saw Indy. I'm so wanting to see Prince Caspian though! Bring out on DVD, please people!

The City of Ember is..... fabulous. Of course, that's just my opinion. :-) And yes, you do need to read it!

Hugs,
Becca

RYC: Yes, I suppose my post was a blog biography! I thought it was high time I posted "the history of Further Up and Further In". haha

I know, I love NarniaWeb!! It should have its own news channel on TV, in my opinion. They are on top of everything and report everything so fast!

I agree with you there -- the two more disturbing scenes were also thought provoking. I mean, the sorcery & sudden vengeance scene was a great picture of temptation and how it can destroy us and others. I just loved the part where Edmund smashed the ice, and then the stone carving of Aslan was behind it. A huge victory moment. Anyway, I just loved Edmund smashing the ice... that was perfect.

The castle raid scene was, in my opinion, the most dramatic scene in the whole movie. I definitely was about to cry. I mean... just putting myself in Peter's shoes, and imagining what he was feeling was enough to make one emotional, much less the other Narnians who were left behind. It was very powerful, and I too was impressed with William Moseley's acting. :) I'd be open to any other discussion about PC, this is really making me think, and I love comments that make me think and articulate myself.

Also, did you hear about Eustace being cast? I posted about it on Into the Wardrobe (read the above comment ^^). What are your thoughts about that? I wonder how Skandar & Georgie will feel, having another "Will" on set.

Blessings,
~Miss Kylie
