Pulled

Taffy Puller

A collegue asked today how I was doing...

Well, let's see I thought to myself.  Pamela and Robin have been sick for the last week.  I'm painting the house and hoping to tile this week.  Preparing for small groups at church.  Teaching, producing, serving...

"Like taffy" I replied...

I just hope I'm sweet once the pulling is through...

From James 1

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

The analogy was a great one son. The picture caught my attention. Someone was capturing the taffy pulling machine in a photo, but they were also capturing a reflection of themselves faintly. A good reminder to us that as we are seeing others and their activities, we are also being observed. Then the "eye" shape on the machine does a good job of reminding us of that also.

Thank you son for reminding us that as we are being pulled and hopefully coming out sweet that the sweetness should reflect God.
