Online Learning - What have I learned?

Parent Forum - Homeschoolers Online

Time4Learning launched a forum for parents at the start of this month.  It's going great.  Many interesting questions, alot of answers and discussions. Its about 80% about the Time4Learning online learning system, about 20% on other topics.

Well, to be honest, I'm not sure it is going as well as it could be. Here are my questions.....

1.  The traffic is steady but light.  I'm not sure what to expect. I find that new parents and potential members are regular users but that my existing users tend not to use it.  Maybe I should do more communication to them to make it more visible?

2.  I find that there are a few questions that don't get answered since they are hard questions. I'd like to be able to answer them.  How much responsibility should I as a forum-owner/moderator feel for getting all  the questions answered?

Anybody have experience with these sorts of forums that can me some guidance?

About Me

I started Time4Learning 5 years ago for home education. Time4Learning provides online interactive curriculum preschool to eighth grade. This is record of lessons learned in the realm of communicating with our members (I have another blog for my technical lessons learned). Hopefully it will keep me on track moving towards a more effective communication, feedback and idea sharing system with my users
