Online Learning - What have I learned?

Time4Learning Learns from Parents

We recently implemented some parent suggestions. Here's what changed....

Lesson Plans - Many parents asked for more curriculum information for planning purposes. We have posted our Gifted Children - Time4Learning has created an assessment process for parents to help them place their gifted math students in the curriculum. Going beyond algebra, Time4Learning has introduced new courses from IMACS for middle and high school students interested in logic or computer programming.

Parent Reviews - Reviews written by parents of educational resources are invaluable to help other parents.  Time4Learning invites those of you who have access to websites, blogs, or newsgroups, to review our site from your point of view.  We encourage this by providing a month's free family membership for the review. For details.

Parent Discussion Forum - Many parents contact us with specialized questions that go beyond our inhouse knowledge.  Parents might ask a question about using online learning for a "dyslexic gifted 3rd grader" or "organizing a homeschool math program which combines A Beka and Time4Learning". We have set up a forum for parents (members and non-members) to share their experiences and questions.  Recent posts:
"I use Time4Learning as core curriculum for math in 4th grade and as supplementary in the other subjects. I have  questions about which textbook to use for support and about how to schedule the lessons across the year... "

My kids went to SCORE to help them keep up in a tough parochial  school. I have switched to Time4Learning...

I have two children who go to a lousy dangerous middleschool. After some discussion with my husband, we are  trying to homeschool...My kids found Time4Learning. Any advice on how to structure my days?

Any parents with direct experience on how Time4Learning works for an aspergers child? Mine is 2nd grade level.
Parents pushed for easier access to parent reports for their record keeping. This is now done.

Time4Learning is now a recognized vendor to Eagles Peak Charter Home School in California. We can follow up on other requests to become a recognized vendor to charter schools.

At Time4Learning, we are always trying to listen to our members,

I had read on the Net just this morning that you all were dumping off HSers and parents. That you were gonna drop thousands of online users b/c it didn't fit in with your business plan. Is there any truth to this?
Thanks!

About Me

I started Time4Learning 5 years ago for home education. Time4Learning provides online interactive curriculum preschool to eighth grade. This is record of lessons learned in the realm of communicating with our members (I have another blog for my technical lessons learned). Hopefully it will keep me on track moving towards a more effective communication, feedback and idea sharing system with my users
