I just got off a 30 minute phone call with the mother of a child with micrencephaly. I can't pretend to understand it but her story about how Time4Learning has made such a difference in her child's life moved me. Dramatically.
It is not that unusual. About once a week, I speak with a parent of a special needs child with different disabilities (high functioning autism is the most common) and apparently, Time4Learning provides unique educational benefits to a special needs child.
I haven't pursued the areas much as a marketing effort since I feel humbled by how little I understand truly about special needs education. I did work with IdealLives website and had about 20 of their parents test the system for 2 months. The results were very encouraging but since we spread the test across about a dozen different special needs and disabilities, along with some combinations, we ended up with interesting annecdotal info but no solid research.
One of my top categories in the new Online Learning Time4Learning forum: special needs learning.
I did finally get my first web page up on my site dealing with special needs .
