Online Learning - What have I learned?

Member Communication Mechanisms

By far, the most interesting part of Time4Learning is talking to our members about their children and their approach to educating them.  Their stories, challenges, and ambitions are so interesting.

This inspires my effort to find the best mechanism for all of us to communicate. Right now, we do it the same way companies always have, only we use more technology.  Members contact us (email, phone) and we answer.  When a question reappears a few time, we post an answer in a newsletter or on our site.

I'm struggling to figure out what the best way is to allow all of us to share info.  Is a blog with several members, moderators, and comments on be the best?

How doe that compare with a forum or newsgroup?

I've had several requests recently for scope and sequence data. Instead of mailing it out, I'm starting to post it.  Scope and Sequence

About Me

I started Time4Learning 5 years ago for home education. Time4Learning provides online interactive curriculum preschool to eighth grade. This is record of lessons learned in the realm of communicating with our members (I have another blog for my technical lessons learned). Hopefully it will keep me on track moving towards a more effective communication, feedback and idea sharing system with my users
