"He will feed His flock like a shepherd;
He will gather the lambs with His arm,
And carry them in His bosom,
And gently lead those who are with young."
Isaiah 40:11 (NKJV)
How precious He is to think so dearly of us, His children. In the same way we are to consider His gift(s) to us...our children. We are to gently lead them in His ways, nurture them by following His example toward us, loving them unconditionally for His name sake.

This being my first blog entry, perhaps I should share a bit about myself:
I am 48 and live in Northern California. I am wife to a tender husband, mother to a sweet daughter, and staff to a spoiled cat. Like certain couples in the Bible, the Lord gifted us with one child. We consider her to be a gift, precious in His sight
and worthy of holding gently and dearly.
We live in what I like to refer to as 'a cottage', complete with a soft comfy furnishings in white, soft yellow, and trickles of blue & red. Our gardens meander from one outdoor room to the next; arches, gates, seating spaces and raised vegetable beds inviting one to take time to contemplate God's handiwork in nature.
Come December we'll begin our 11th year homeschooling and look forward to our daughter's graduation next June...waiting on what the Lord has planned for her future...in His way and in His time. We've used various materials/approaches in our home school adventure but especially enjoy a non-textbook living approach to English and History. We've always used texts (Apologia and Saxon) for science and math.
I hope you'll visit my blog from time to time. More entries will be posted as I have time.
Tenderness in Christ Jesus,
