My life as a homeschooling mom to four and praying for more.

• Nov. 4, 2006 - The Daily Grind

Does anyone else ever feel like the housework, homeschooling and all other things that have to be done each day could take over your life if left undone?  I often get this feeling, exspecially when I am behind.  Right now I am pretty much caught up except for the pile of clean clothes that is piled over 2 foot tall on a full sized bed in our guest room.  I walk in there to get that tackled and just feel overwhelmed.  This is my main goal for today.  My other goals are:

*wash diapers

*set out church clothes

* straighten areas of our home in need

*Lunch

*supper

* catch "P" up with school.

That is a pretty lite load of work for me.  However it will most likely take me all day.

I am so thankful that I have these things to do each day, as it means I have a house to keep me warm, clothes to wear and many children to keep me young.  I know that the daily load would be much easier to tend to if I could stay caught up.  I am putting together a plan to help with that.  Will it work?  Only time will tell.

I struggle with this over and over. I don't know how it happens or why it happens, but one misstep or one moment of neglect and the house explodes. Could be the ages of the children--lots of littles, no bigs (although DS is becoming quite a helper!) Or it could be that I desperately need a more solid routine! Keep me posted on what you're doing!
