I know I've been wanting to get an otoscope. I have a stethoscope to help me decide what coughs need to see the Dr, and which I can treat at home. I'd love to be able to do the same for ear pain.
One thing that is helpful is to gently tug on your child's ear. If it's infected, it will really hurt! My son just finished reading The Drinking Gourd. We went through a study guide on it through Progeny Press, and it led to some good conversations regarding when/if it is ever ok to lie, or to break the law. Great book!
