I try to nurture a spirit of thankfulness, knowing that all blessings come from my Heavenly Father. I try to be aware of the small moments of joy and peace, and not allow myself to become bogged down in the mundane details of daily life.
Today I am savoring ...
sharing lunch with my one year old
walking to the barn with my chatty three year old
gathering eggs while the three year old chases chickens
reading to my snuggly five year old
listening as my eight year old reads to me
hearing the dreams and "what ifs" of my imaginative ten year old
watching my twelve year old interact with her younger siblings
listening to my fourteen year old play with the three year old
hearing my fourteen year old teach herself the guitar
seeing my twelve year old cooking lunch
walking in the leaves
walking with my dog
seeing the barn cats run to greet me
three cute barn kittens
the crisp cool air of changing seasons
wide gray skies
feeding my family from our garden's harvest
folding my family's clothes, thankful for each person and the clothes God provided them
a warm home
watching a Persian cat waddle around looking for the perfect place to give birth
being home with my family each day
having the privilege of educating my children
keeping in touch with family and friends via the internet
a working washer and dryer
enjoying the beauty of God's creation outside my window.
living in a country where I'm free to worship openly
knowing my husband will be home tonight
security
knowing I am accepted
being cherished
knowing God delights in me
delighting in God
peace
joy
love
being blessed beyond measure
I'll stop there, because 36 is such a nice number.
Welcome to ElCloud Homeschool blog. My name is April, and I'm married to my best friend, Steve. We have 7 active, creative children ages 14, 12, 10, 8, 5, 3, and 1. This blog is where I share about our Christian faith, our family life, our homeschool, and my reviews of curriculum and books. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 is our goal for our family and our homeschool.
