Our Adoption Adventure

Just checking in

Wanted to post a quick note.  Sorry I haven't written in a couple days but I think being 7 months pregnant plus having 8 children is catching up with me.  I have literally passed out the last couple of nights after everyone is asleep.  James is still taking his malaria meds and getting over jet lag, but we are hanging in there. 

It is crazy to think what all of us have been through in less than two weeks.  Anyway, everyone is doing fine.  We have definitely experienced the "Liberian pout" but it worked itself out. 

We did some math placement work yesterday.  I wasn't sure when we would go back to schooling but I need to keep everyone occupied and they seem to really enjoy school work so we will try to get going within a week or two.  Just doing light stuff but getting us in to a routine.

Well gotta run for now, I will try to stay awake long enough tonight to post more.

So glad to hear from you!

I can imagine how tired you are. I completely understand about keeping busy by wanting to jump into school. Just take it slow. I would just add one thing at a time. Of course this is completely unsolicited advice I'm giving here. :-)

I am so happy for you & hope everyone is adjusting well.

Just checking in to see how the new little ones are doing..... yes there will be an adjustment period...... believe me there will -- if you ever need to talk about it, please drop me a line...... the reality of adopting hits home pretty hard a few weeks after they are home...... "the honeymoon" period as some call it may last weeks, days or even months......
