BFS Assignment #103 It keeps going, and going, and going…. (Energizer)

Memory Verse: 1 Timothy 4:15 (NIV)

Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.
Assignment:
How do you keep energized so you can get it all done? bouncy music? treat it like a workout? Do you use a schedule?, a housekeeping binder system? luck of the draw system?.. or is this an area where you need encouragement? Do you need God’s help to keep order and beauty in your dwelling place? Take this week to tell us how You diligently keep going with your housekeeping chores.

Ok I love waiting to see what our assignments are, I check often, probably more often then I need too...lol. Course this one I was like oh gee, not really my area.

I'm horrible at cleaning. Granted the house is not really dirty but there are certain areas that are cluttered. And as much as I'd love to declutter, I have no place to put anything we are getting rid of. With only one vehicle, I can't load up the vehicle to take into town to throw out at the dump or to take to the thrift store. So things sit. Plus there's so much to go through in a couple areas I just don't have the desire and no one to help me. I have my son but his help can drive ya batty at times. More questions being asked and I just get frustrated. So I don't ask for his help in some things. Things are better then they used to be, we used to have boxes of stuff in corners of the LR and such. Now the living room has hardly no *stuff* cluttering it up, just probably more furniture then it needs....lol. The kitchen has a corner in it by the table thats cluttered. I've cleaned it up several times but alas when I have no way to get rid of things its tough. With my DH working longer hours and stuff, he isn't around to take out my stuff or to town to the dump.

Its just overall frustrating, I would like things to be clutter free but that's not happening. I try to keep the living room & kitchen cleaner since those are seen the most.

I just don't have the desire to full out clean the way I'd really love to. Wish I was more motivated but when no one else seems to really care its tough.

Oh I so know about not being able to get the stuff OUT of my house. We had garbage sheds to store stuff in, but even that is cluttered. We're only now, after 8 years, able to get the sheds cleared out, as my son bought a truck.. a vehicle to take stuff to the dump!

I want to ask, in your header photo, is that foal actually pulling? or just walking also sided mama? I'd love to get our horses pulling, we have a big quarter horse who could easily pull a sled with a bunch of kids in it if he was trained.. it's the training he's lacking.. oh.. and a harnass and a sled too.. lol. I hear the little ponies we have are built tough to do this kind of pulling too. They're part Welsh, part Quarterhorse.

Thanks for posting your BFS Assignment

Emily...that is frustrating! Let me ask you this...if I were to drive over today(which I'm not) with a big truck, would you be able to clear all your unwanted stuff out in less then 15 minutes(if I brought some strong helping hands to carry)? If not, maybe you could just work on getting an area to that point. Designate a room or corner to put your decluttered stuff in. Don't mix the good with the bad...but have the stuff all bagged, boxed, labeled, whatever all ready to leave. Then I am sure that there is some day, some family member, some friend, somehow....that you could arrange a haul away. And when that happens you will be all prepared to say goodbye and reclaim the area! I do understand though, about if no one cares it's hard to get motivated. However, apparently you do care a bit and it is so mood lifting to clear out. Just puts a smile on your face!! :) Thanks for sharing!!!

Ladies.

The foal is just walking beside. He was never tied up, he was free to wader the fields or roads depending on where we went....lol. I haven't seen him since friends bought him from the original owners, we didn't keep him. I guess he's huge, Shoot in the header photo he was only a couple months old.

As far as being able to get rid of stuff in 15 minutes. Nope. I can clean up a few areas in that time. But the closets in this house are in dire need. Ours especially. Its just too overwhelming. Like I said its not really horrible, people could come in the house but I'd just rather that not happen......LOL. It could be so much tidier though. Just looks lived in.

Ahhh, sorry this is such a discouraging thing for you. (((HUGS)))

I am really trying to train my hubby and my girls that we don't want to collect clutter. It truly stresses me out to see clutter. Just this week I got a newsletter from WebMD linking clutter to health problems such as allergies. That was an eye opener.

I enjoyed reading your assignment.

Do you have Purple Heart or Got Junk? near you? They are a great way to declutter! I know my mom and dad are on their reg. routine pick-up schedule. Guess after having 4 kids and 11 grandkids, they are ready to purge. Sorry, I acccidently missed ya when I was going thru, so here I am now-saying hello and wishing you well.

I have been cleaning out our house for 2 weeks now. I am almost done, but I must say I can't wait for those boxes to leave the house! I have a few more rooms that I am having a hard time getting motivated for. Then I think about all the stuff we had to go through after my Grandma passed away last year. This always motivates me and helps me get it boxed up. I think prayer and the strength of the Lord gets me going too. There is no way I could progress the way I have without his help! You can do it!
