Yeah I guess I could give a regular update, huh? Well Wednesday we had church, which was really good. Today we had like a ton of errands to run... including picking up my new glasses (for when I'm not wearing contacts of course), picking up HannahElizabeth who spent the week with her friend Cass, going to Lana's old house/Tony's house to pick up a hoop skirt and beads and sequins they were getting rid of and I got to see Donor and Lola (dogs) and Fish (kitten), all really sweet. Tomorrow I'm going to the lake...
Anyway... I'm trying to make my posts more interesting but as you can tell it's not working. lol I need to remember the funny things that happen each day and post about them. Well it's getting sorta late and I guess I should go to bed.

July 14, 2008 - Gather my insuffiecencies and place them in Your hand, place them in Your hand...
Hey guys,
What's up? Today we had Food Bowl practice here then went to town to drop HannahElizabeth off to stay a few days with Cass and then we went grocery shopping. Not very exciting. Oh, Saturday we went shopping and I got a pair of jeans on clearance for $2.35 but they were 0 long, which means, WAY too long, so I cut 'em and hemmed 'em to be capris! I also got a pair of black dress pants (same price) but they were too long too and so I hemmed them as well.
Here's a funny comic Meggy sent me:

Oh guess what!!! Ok, so this morning I was listening to Air1 and Coppelia was on and was talking about how cool the Air1 verse of the day is. It's Jeremiah 29:12-13. Well that was like super-cool, cuz first of all, Jeremiah 29:11 has always been a special verse to me (" For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."). What a neat promise and reminder that God already knows what will happen. And then a few weeks ago I was asking God about something and He brought me to verse thirteen (" You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.") and I was just like, wow. "With ALL your heart". He also showed me several other verses that night that said very similar things. So that was so cool. And then just last night in youth class we were talking about prayer and Luke asked us to each look up a Scripture about prayer, and I came up with Jeremiah 29:12 ("Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you "). I thought it was really cool, cuz God's promising to hear us and answer us. So, I called in to Air1 and got to talk to Coppelia and I told her all that and she asked my name and location and then played what I'd said on air!!! It was sooo cool. I'm famous now!! lol I recorded it on my cell phone so that's awesome!!
I posted something about Sissy and Boo on my writing blog. Click here to read it.
Anyway, I'd better go.
Love ya'll!!!

July 11, 2008 - Everybody cut loose, with Kutless, Air1 is sending you...
Well Day Camp is done and over with. *sniff* It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun. Wednesday we went skating and my "adopted" 5yo, "Boo", skated long and hard and I was kept busy with her and "Sissy" (the 7yo). It was tiring, but fun. Boo fell asleep on my shoulder on the way back to the church, and I carried her in and sat down and held her for about a half hour without her waking up... she's so sweet though... I just hope I was able to make a difference in their lives in the four days that God gave me. After the kids left we stuck around for youth... I shot a few hoops with Chrysa... then we had a good service. If you would, though, pray for our youth group. We have a big even coming up in about a month and a half and we are not focused enough at all. Lana brought me a shrug and some fabric Wednesday that she thought might go with my pritsy dress and the shrug will work!!! And it's soooo pretty!! It's white lace and... pretty!
Yesterday we took them all to the water park.... it was fun and I'm sure I built up my leg muscles with all the zillions of trips up the stairs to go down the slide. And, I got sunburned again really bad. I'm sure to get skin cancer.... :P
Here's me and Boo and Sissy at the bowling alley:

Today we took Stuffy and went to see the American Girl Kit Kittredge movie. It was pretty good. It was really funny. Then we went to Sams and WalMart... Stuffy and I had a lot of fun and it was cool. ;)
Here's Stuffy and I with the sign for the movie:

Tomorrow we're prolly going out for lunch and then shopping to celebrate my parents' birthdays... Dad's was yesterday and Mom's is Sunday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! (I won't tell you how old they are... but it's more than 40 and less than 42... LOL)
I'm still working on things for the fair... I was cross-stitching the serenity prayer... and I just realized that I did a whole row of words twice... I'm not real happy, b/c now I have to take all those out, and that's difficult and time-consuming. *sigh* So I took the easy-for-now route of putting it down and finding something else to occupy my mind. So here I am.
Here's a pic of one of the flipflops I decorated... I wrapped embroidery floss around the straps and strung beads on it, and used a cloth flower off of a lei to put on the top/front/whateveryoucallit.

And here's a watercolor painting I did:

Here's the original pic I looked off of (I found it on my computer):

Here's a still life I set up to draw...except you can't see the envelope:

And here's a pic of the drawing, but it didn't turn out too well:
Everyone is getting a baby!!! Ok, not everyone. But lots!!! Lana, Meggy, and Toria all get little sibs... and several ppl at church.... and... just lotsa ppl!!!! Exciting!!!
Oh and here's a pic I took of myself... sorry Lana, no smile...

Well I think that's all for now.
Luvya'll,

July 8, 2008 - For God to focus on anything but Himself would be idolatry.
Hey guys,
We have kids day camp at church this week, so that's cool. Yesterday we took the kids bowling and today we took them to the park to play mini golf. Pretty fun. More on that and pics later. So, I've been busy the past two days... I have a couple 5th and 6th grade girls for small group time, they're easy and so smart. But I have a 7yo and 5yo girls whom I've sorta adopted responsibilty for... they're a ton of fun but a lot to keep up with. ;) I love being around kids, though... I learn so much from them. And they always say the cutest things. Yesterday the 5yo wrote down a "question" to put in the "I wonder...." bag. I looked at it and saw only a few letters so I asked her what the question was, what it said. "I don't know!" she replied. "I can't read!" lol
Ok here's a little video thing I made with clips of fireworks I filmed with my phone Friday. So nothing special or high quality but it was fun. The last clips are the best so persevere. ;P
