February 2, 2007 - Snow!!!!
We finally got some snow!!!! Yay!!!! A lot of it melted today but it was fun while it lasted!
Babies Junior, Snickers, and Heidi are all doing good, cold, but good! :)
The other day when I was out there, Junior decided to go for a swim. It was very sad but also quite funny. I was sitting in the goat shed holding Heidi when I heard a splash and knew Junior had jumped into their water tub! I put Heidi down and was about to go pull him out of the water but he had already jumped out. I grabbed him up, but he protested (I'm sure it was cold when I touched him, with his fur so wet) so I put him back down by his momma to see if she'd dry him off but she wouldn't so I wrapped him up inside my coat and got him warmed up! They certainly keep us on our toes! :D
Well I have to go but here's a poem I wrote the other day:
“Snow”
Flittering, falling, fluttering through the trees.
White and glittering, it does please.
Looks like sugar, fluffy and white,
But when you go out in it, the cold will bite.
Very cold, yes, ‘tis true,
But, as you know, snow can be fun, too.
Make a snowball and throw it!
Snowmen are fun, you know it!
Snow angels are a joy,
For every girl and boy.
So play to your heart’s desire,
Then go in, warm yourself by the fire.
