April 16, 2007 - A Prayer

here is a poem i wrote....

I worship You God,
I fall on my knees before You.
I pray You will help me this day
to do what You want me to.  

I need Your guidance,
I need Your help, Your love
I can’t do it on my own,
My mistakes would be a ton.  

I do make mistakes,
And very sorry I am,
Because for my sins You died,
God’s precious Lamb. 

For this sinful world,
You took the blame
Of all of our sins,
The sorrow, the shame. 

You took the punishment
we ought to have taken
God turned His back on You,
Alone and forsaken. 

 Into the grave they placed You,
Then, on the third day,
You rose again
Defeating the grave! 

Thank You, dear Jesus
For what You have done.
Thank You, dear God,
For sending Your Son.
