August 26, 2008 - I will go through this valley, if You want me to...

Heyyy it's me again...

We've been really busy with moving and all... Friday we picked up the things we would need at Home Depot and then went to the house and signed the papers and started cleaning... the carpet cleaners were there so we could only do the basement but that was the most important anyways. We swept, mopped, and cleaned the downstairs basement and bathroom. My grandparents came to help and are still here helping. We left and got something to eat before HannahElizabeth and I had to be at church for a run-through and prayer meeting for Fan the Flame. It went well... me and the other ppl in the skit I'm in practiced a lot, and HannahElizabeth and Jazzy and I practiced our song. The prayer time was really good, too.

Saturday we picked up our projects from the fair then went to FtF... it was awesome. Much fun, lots of cool peeps, a great band, awesome speakers, and most importantly, God was there. It was really great... My dad got the basement floor painted Saturday morning so that was cool.

Sunday we went to church, came home and packed, then HannahElizabeth and I went back to church for an abbreviated service and then fellowship. It was fun. Mel and I practiced some bball after so that was cool.

Yesterday we went to the rent house and worked all day. HannahElizabeth and I finished painting the basement (my dad had done everything but cutting in), my grandma, mom, and little sisses worked on a bunch of stuff upstairs, my grandpa worked on making clothes rods for HannahElizabeth's closet, I cleaned the filthyfilthy stairwell closet that's not filthy anymore after much sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and washing... we were all very tired to say the least but we got a lot done.

Today we're here at home packingpackingpacking. I think we're supposed to get the moving truck on Thursday... and we're supposed to be out by Sunday... hmm....

August 21, 2008 - You never said it would be easy but You said You'd bring me through the storm.

Heyy evyybuddyy,

I haven't been on in forever, I know, but I have lots of excuses. Lots of fun and busyness....

The 14th we had a get together/hang out time for the juniors and seniors in our homeschool group. A friend and I thought it would be fun so we put it together and it was cool. I think everyone enjoyed it. We played cards and Scattergories and ate and talked. Then mom and I went to a basketball meeting... uhuh, that's right ppl, I'm playing basketball this year (pick your jaw up off the floor now). I know I'm not really the type, but I think it will be fun, I'm excited.

Friday we found the house we're gonna rent! It's kina cool, it's on 17 acres (with two ponds and a creek... supposedly. We haven't seen the property yet. ;P) and has a big cool basement thing that we're gonna make into two rooms for HannahElizabeth and I. AND we get our own bathroom down there yay!

Saturday I was at church all day for setup for Fan the Flame (youth event at our church). Lana and I made a big poster with the theme verse (Jeremiah 20:9) on it and then we got to burn the edges with the help of HannahElizabeth and Dadrian! We worked on other things all day and then had a prayer meeting at 6:30.

Sunday was church of course... Jazzy and HannahElizabeth and I sang. Went okay except I sang the wrong words :P After church I went to Sarah's house to practice basketball... coolio.

Monday HannahElizabeth, HannahM, and Bethy (my FoodBowl friends) sang at the fair. They sang "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and won 1st for group vocal and 1st overall grand champion! yay! Bethy also won 1st for solo vocal and 3rd for overall grand champion! woot!

Tuesday we dropped off photos and art and crafts etc at the fair and packed!

Yesterday I packed and went to church to practice a skit I'm in for FtF and then youth service...

Today I packed, cleaned a shower, packed, cleaned a fridge, went for a shortish walk/run, packed, took apart my bed, packedpackedpacked until we ran out of tape. :P

Tomorrow we're going to the rent house to clean the basement and pain the floor and then I have to be at church at 7 for FtF practice... whew... busybusy....

Okay so there's the quick update (there's been more I just can't write about everything) here's some photos:

Now that you've seen a zillion pics you never wanted to see, I have a few prayer requests. Please pray for us, as we're moving and everything. Moving is always stressful, esp. since we have to be out by the end of the month and that doesn't give us much time to pack, clean both houses, and get everything moved. Pray for Fan the Flame which is Saturday, that God will work and move in ways we can't even imagine. Pray for my friend Toria and her family, her mom lost the baby she was carrying... pray that God will comfort them as only He can. Pray for my friend Kenzie who had to have her horse put down b/c of a broken leg. Pray for my horse who has foot problems and may have Cushings disease. Thanks to everyone who prayed for my Grandad. He ended up not having surgery after all b/c it was too risky. Thanks everyone!

August 2, 2008 - We stayed up late and we talked all night... listened to Air1 play all night...

For once the title of this post very much has to do with the content of the post, you'll see why.

First let me say I'm extremely tired (you'll see why about that, too) so I'm sorry if this post doesn't make the most sense.

Yesterday we picked Stuffy up around 3 and went to a consignment shop to drop some things off and look around. I got a few cute things and Stuffy and I had a great time, as you'll see...

Then we went to eat and then to the HS Fellowship, which was lotsa fun. After that we came home and talked till after midnight, then we watched Princess Diaries and ate popcorn till 2:30 or 3... decided we'd stay up all night so we played Speed (I think she won almost every time, but we had a few ties)... had card fights till we had three decks of cards and all my pillows scattered on my floor...

... layed in bed and talked till 6 when I said "Hey! It's getting light outside!" so we opened my blinds and watched the lopsided (don't ask) sunrise, then drank vanilla capuccino which was supposed to keep us awake but didn't (you'll see)... put in "Cinderella" (it was random and crazy, our theme for the night) and then fell asleep at 7:30 or 8 and got up at 10:30 or so... went to see my animals, then we went to the lake and had a lot of fun... came home and she had to leave. So, yeah, lots of fun, but I am sooooo tired...

July 25, 2008 - 2008 4-H State O'Rama!!!

My absense the past two days is because I've been at my state's 4-H O'rama. It was sooo fun! We drove up Wednesday morning and moved into the dorms which were sooo cute and awesome.

Then HannahM, my roommate and friend, went to her Fashion Revue competition (placed 3rd!) and Bethy (HannahElizabeth's roommate) went to her instrumental competition and i don't remember how she placed, and HannahElizabeth went to her vocal competition and we went to watch. Everyone did really well, and so did she for she placed 4th. After that we went back to the dorms to get ready for the banquet. HannahM had to go early for a reception b/c she was a record book winner so that's why she's not in these pics.

Oh and this is me with my lovely friend Wawa.

The banquet was a lot of fun and we got a complimentary little tin of 4-H micromints! lol It was really cool, though.

Then we went to the Jones Center where we stayed until midnight. There was a dance, a movie, skating, swimming, bball, etc. We just sorta hung out everywhere and watched.

Back to the dorms and Bethy and I sang in the showers then I went to bed and texted and ate poptarts and drank powerade till 2 cuz HannahM was asleep and I couldn't sleep.

Thursday I got up about 6 and got ready for the Food Bowl competition. I didn't actually compete b/c I was the alternate.

It was good competition and we placed 3rd, so that was cool (they placed 2nd last year). That means we get to go to the Midsouth Fair in September to compete!! yay!!!

Then we went back and played Taboo and card games and ate lunch and went to Assembly where we voted for the 2008-2009 state president and officers at large. Back to play more card games and eat dinner then pack up and go to the Awards Ceremony and then leave. *sniff*

I had a ton of fun and made so many friends. This was the first big 4H event I'd gone to and I loved it. I want to get more involved with 4H now. I think I'm going to join Teen Leaders, it sounds like fun.

Well just wanted to let you know what went on, and of course, post all these pics. lol

July 22, 2008 - Hair cut

I got my hair cut today.... a few inches shorter all around with more layers and side bangs. First time in my life I've ever had bangs. They're a little hard to get used to but I like 'em. Here's some pics... they're really awful so those of you who know me in person just wait and see it later and those of you who don't, rest assured that these are bad pics and my haircut (and I, hopefully) look better than in these pics. lol

It's kina flipped out weird here but oh well....

July 21, 2008 - I've got the memories, always inside of me...

My dad just got back from visiting his parents out of state.

Everyone please pray for my Grandad (my dad's dad), who has heart trouble and may have cancer.

About a year ago, my great-grandma (my dad's mom's mom) passed away. I never really knew her, but my dad had grown up around her quite a bit. He brought home a few things that my Grandma (his mom) had saved from my great-grandma's house for us. Just some knick-knacks she had, but I think it's really special and will treasure it.

My great-grandpa (my mom's mom's dad) passed away a few months ago after moving to a nursing home along with my great-grandma and my grandma (my mom's mom) brought us some things from their house, including four wooden ducks he had painted and carved. Especially now that he's gone on, I think that's pretty cool.

I have them both on my shelf in my room, so I can always see them and be reminded of those who came before me and have gone before me. I always get so caught up in my life and my problems and my friends, etc, etc. It's hard to think that there have been millions of people who have come before me that had similar problems. They had problems, made mistakes, got answers, and learned lessons... valuable lessons that can be shared with us. They may be gone now but their legacy lives on.

July 11, 2008 - Everybody cut loose, with Kutless, Air1 is sending you...

Well Day Camp is done and over with. *sniff* It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun. Wednesday we went skating and my "adopted" 5yo, "Boo", skated long and hard and I was kept busy with her and "Sissy" (the 7yo). It was tiring, but fun. Boo fell asleep on my shoulder on the way back to the church, and I carried her in and sat down and held her for about a half hour without her waking up... she's so sweet though... I just hope I was able to make a difference in their lives in the four days that God gave me. After the kids left we stuck around for youth... I shot a few hoops with Chrysa... then we had a good service. If you would, though, pray for our youth group. We have a big even coming up in about a month and a half and we are not focused enough at all. Lana brought me a shrug and some fabric Wednesday that she thought might go with my pritsy dress and the shrug will work!!! And it's soooo pretty!! It's white lace and... pretty!

Yesterday we took them all to the water park.... it was fun and I'm sure I built up my leg muscles with all the zillions of trips up the stairs to go down the slide. And, I got sunburned again really bad. I'm sure to get skin cancer.... :P

Today we took Stuffy and went to see the American Girl Kit Kittredge movie. It was pretty good. It was really funny. Then we went to Sams and WalMart... Stuffy and I had a lot of fun and it was cool. ;)

Tomorrow we're prolly going out for lunch and then shopping to celebrate my parents' birthdays... Dad's was yesterday and Mom's is Sunday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! (I won't tell you how old they are... but it's more than 40 and less than 42... LOL)

I'm still working on things for the fair... I was cross-stitching the serenity prayer... and I just realized that I did a whole row of words twice... I'm not real happy, b/c now I have to take all those out, and that's difficult and time-consuming. *sigh* So I took the easy-for-now route of putting it down and finding something else to occupy my mind. So here I am.

Here's a pic of one of the flipflops I decorated... I wrapped embroidery floss around the straps and strung beads on it, and used a cloth flower off of a lei to put on the top/front/whateveryoucallit.

July 4, 2008 - How does she know you love her?

Happy 4th of July!

Wow, it HAS been a long time since I've posted. We had a highschool fellowship, and Lady brought me a pittydress!!! I luvluvluv it!! It's so pretty and it fits good and I have the perfect shoes to match it and I'm so excited!! Here's a pic, it's really far away and was taken on my cell phone and I'm not gonna wear the black thing over it, I'm gonna find something different, but it gives you an idea at least.

Wednesday I picked out new glasses... I wear my contacts but I needed glasses with my new perscription for when I take them out or can't wear them. They're really cute, black with little flowers on the sides that have blue rhinestone centers! Then I went to church, we had a churchwide 4th of July thing. Had prayer time, ate and hung out, had music, and fireworks.

Yesterday we went to the lake to swim and hang out... it was the first time I've been this year, so it was fun. Then I went to Bethy's bday party, lotsa fun and laughs.
