They spent the night and left Tuesday morning, then we went to town and ran some errands and I read over 1/4 of "Little Women". Today I had Food Bowl practice and church... funfun!

Okay, okay, I'll tell, even though Lana is the only one who guessed (thanks Lana! you were wrong, but it was a really good guess) I'll give you a hint. A REALLY good hint. lol

That's right, ladies and gentlemen! A cell phone!!! All mine!!! yippee!! It's a samsung hue for anyone interested in what it is specifically. lol

Today I got to go shopping with the Meggy. We spent three hours at the mall and spent only fifty cents. Oh yeah. lol It was lots of fun. Now we're headed to church....

March 25, 2008 - Near, far, wherever you are, you're here in my heart and my heart will go on and on.

Hi guys,

Yeah, I'm posting again, already. I'm gonna make you stick it out through another boring post of mine. :P Unless you just leave right now.... :( but that would make me sad.

Today I did school and tried to call Meggy but she couldn't talk (well I mean, she could, she just didn't have time :P) and then the farrier was supposed to come this evening so we got Rusty and Jack out and I brushed Rusty and trimmed his tail.

Here are some pics I took.... notice all the hair on the ground, and how shaggy he still is. I'm telling ya, this boy puts on a THICK winter coat, and then loses it real suddenly when it gets warm. It is so gross, I can just walk up to him and pull out a handful of hair. *ick* Don't believe me? Ask the dishes! Just kidding, instead of asking the dishes, just look at the next pic...

The proof is in the pudding... or the hair. Not sure if you can tell, but that's a pretty big pile of hair. And we'd already gotten quite a bit out the other day.

I like to hop on him bareback.. as you can see, he doesn't care... but I got pretty dirty and hairy. :P

March 24, 2008 - Sometimes you play my mind a million times.

Wow, has it really only been a very few days since I last posted? So much has happened.

First and foremost, we had our Easter Program Friday, Saturday, and last night. Wow, it was sooo much fun. I cried several times the first night, but managed to hold myself together for the most part the last two nights. It's just so real to be there, to be part of the crowd watching Jesus be hung. To stand and watch the mother of Jesus come forward to him, and feel her despair. To feel the pain, the reality of it all. Lana and Tony came Saturday night. I didn't know they were there until I went out to get all Emo-ed during the invitation and my mom told me "Lana's here!" I was so excited. I know we had several salvations and recommitments and I think God touched a lot of people. Praise the Lord!

Today we had choir and went grocery shopping.

Here are some pics, since I don't really have time to write more, considering it's getting pretty late...

Emo Emy... You can't see the eyeliner all that well, and you can't see the bracelet or cuts or shoes, but I thought it looked pretty cool black and white.

That's me in the light pink costume and dark pink... thing. Jaz is beside me and Sarah's behind her. That's Luke's body in the yellow. :P He just doesn't have a head. LOL And that's all the bloggers.

Me in the eye makeup Megan put on me last night... black eyeliner, gold eyeshadow on bottom, and purple on top... I thought it looked pretty fab, though I would never wear it every day or anything. :P And yeah it was kina messed up by the time I got home and took the pic.

February 20, 2008 - And you look so... clean.

Monday HannahElizabeth had a piano lesson and we had choir, then we went grocery shopping. Guess what? It was easy and even fun to do in a skirt! :P

Yesterday.... well, I have to confess something... I cheated. Yup. I didn't wear a skirt. Shame on me, I know... but, we didn't go anywhere so I didn't really think it was necessary to wear a skirt around the house. I got a beautiful valentine that almost made me cry and an awesome journal in the mail yesterday from MEGGY!!!! Girl you are awesome. Why is it that God gave me the greatest friends ever? :D

Well tonight we have church, and I'll have a skirt on... :P Here is a pic of what I'm wearing:

February 10, 2008 - Some thoughts...

I just finished Gail Carson Levine's book "The Two Princesses of Bamarre" last night... er, well, this morning. :P It was really good, though I didn't like it quite as well as "Ella Enchanted" and "Fairest". But, for some reason, I was thinking today about the characters in that book. Although this is a fantasy novel, I think there are lessons to be learned from it. If you have read this book you'll understand this a lot better.

To start with, the main character, Adelina (Addie for short). She's very timid and shy, and doesn't think she's brave. She depends on others for a lot, especially her sister Meryl. But in the time of danger, she sacrifices everything for those she loves. This shows a lot of good character, and makes me wonder, would I be like that? Would I face my fears and lay down everything, even my life if necessary, for others?

Then we have her sister Meryl. Meryl is brave and loves to take care of Addie, swordfight, make battle plans, etc. She dreams of the day that she can have adventures and fight, and, most of all, help others. This also shows good character.

Then there is Bella, their governess. She is very protective of the two princesses. I think there are definitely people like this in our lives. They love us and want to do anything they can to protect us. Even though it can sometimes be annoying and sometimes feels like they are holding you back, we should be thankful for these people.

Rhys the sorcerer shows that sometimes the one you love isn't what you expected. As girls we often dream of our perfect "Prince Charming"... but it is more than likely that our true love won't be all that... I'm not saying he'll be worse, just not your perfect-looking prince on a white stallion. No matter how different he (or she, if you're a guy) is, if that is the one that  God has for you, do what He is calling you to do, even if other people (such as Orne, Rhys' teacher) don't approve.

Gavin, Eliza, and the other villagers are the perfect example of bravery and sacrificialness (if that's a word), don't you think? Can you imagine giving your very life, as Gavin did, for someone you don't even know?

Ah, and there's always the evil, such as the dragon. It may even appear pleasing, as she sometimes did. Yet, as Addie did, we'll usually know deep down that something is evil or wrong.

There's the heroes in our lives, such as Drault was. These heroes may be anyone; parents, siblings, friends, neighbors, pastors, etc. It is great to have good, upright, Christian people to look up to. But Jesus should be our true Hero, and He is, isn't He? He is also our True Love, as Drault was for Meryl.

There will always be people in our lives, such as Meryl and Addie's father, the King, who hurt us. Maybe they even mean well, as I believe he did. We must forgive them and move on.

This is all that comes to me right now.

There were a few more things I was gonna write about, though... oh, yes. First, we watched "Meet the Robinsons" Friday night. It was ok. I liked the way it ended, but it just wasn't my type of movie.

Also, we took a family photo today (for our homeschool yearbook)...

EDIT: Oops, how funny, I forgot the characters that originally got me thinking about this! The specters!! The specters are monsters that can take the form of anyone... one even convinced Addie that he was - no, wait, I'm not gonna spoil it. ;) Anyway, they take the form of anyone, someone the characters either knew, or someone convincing, like a child, and lured them to dangerous places. How often does Satan do this to us! He makes something look like something it's not... makes it look appealing, pleasing, tempting, innocent... then, before you know it, you're in a danger zone, and Satan is laughing in your face.

EDIT 2: I forgot to tell ya'll the very sad news I received today. Jael's teeny-tiny, ten-week-old, less-than-14-oz., runt Porky (Pomeranian/Yorky) pup Boo that she brought to church Wed. night and I played with for a long time died this morning!!! I am soooo sad and it wasn't even my dog. Jael didn't even cry! Little Boo was my friend!!! :'( *sniff, sniff* What do I do when one of MY animals dies, you're wondering? Well, thank the Lord, that hasn't happened in a long time. When I was little we had a dog, Tyson, that I absolutely adored and whenever my dad mentioned getting rid of him I'd start crying... then one day we came home from the library and I had just gotten a flu shot so I was already not at my best and we found him dead. I cried and cried and cried, I was so sad. Anyway, mourn for Boo.

Jazzy came over last night so we could take her to the HS fellowship (since we don't spend enough time together :P) so I downloaded her pics on my compy. I'm still waiting for some others to load, though... so while I wait I'll tell you about the fellowship. It was a lot of fun, and Pastor M's message was really good. But in the hang-out time afterward a bunch of people teamed up against me and were teasing me. :P Oh well, nothing new. lol

Okay, here's me and Barlow Girl!!! lol, no really... whether you believe it or not, and I respect your choice... :P But it really is! ;P

February 2, 2008 - Brave people don't live forever, but cautious people don't live at all.

Okay, so yesterday was so totally rockin' my face and socks off stinkin' sweetly AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Why all the excitement, you ask?? Don't worry. I really do have good reason for it this time. Wanna know why? I'll tell ya why!!!

That's why!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah, baby!!!!! WINTER JAM 2008!!! It totally ROCKED!!! And the best part was that I got to MEET BARLOW GIRL!!!!!!!! And Lauren (the blonde) SHOOK MY HAND!!!! (cause I told her my name was Emma (that's their neice's name) and that I love them and that I couldn't stop crying when I saw them. Yup, it's true. When they started singing, I started crying.... I was actually SEEING BARLOW GIRL IN CONCERT!!!!! Jazzy then christened my hand "Lauren". :P

(yeah, I know it's hard to see but it's THEM!!! :P)

But maybe I should start at the beginning of the story, right? :P Ok, so I had actually first heard about this concert back in December and REALLY wanted to go... then, we kina forgot about it until this past... Tuesday, I think. But, my wondermous parents pulled it off and my mom and I got to go!!!! (I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!) And, we brought Sarah, Jazzy, and her mom!! We had a BLAST!!! Sarah, Jaz, and I watched "A Cinderella Story" on the way up there, it was pretty cute, and we took goofy pics of ourselves and each other. The whole concert was totally AWESOME!!!!!!!! Pure NRG, Group 1 Crew, Mandisa, Newsong, Skillet, BARLOW GIRL, Mercy Me, Connersvine.... um, I think that's everyone... and Tony Nolan spoke. It was sooooo cool!!! Sarah and Jaz and I rocked out and had a ton of fun. We had pretty good seats, too! As I said, I cried when Barlow Girl came out. It was awwwwssssoooommmee and I looovvveeedd it, in case you couldn't tell. :P I bought a Barlow Girl wristband and necklace and poster, and then we got to MEET THEM and, yeah, I already told that story. :P Skillet was really awesome, too. Sarah and Jazzy bought Skillet posters and were gonna get them signed but we missed them. :'( Sorry girls. On the way back we watched "Princess Diaries" (that's the third time in the past four days that I've watched it :P) and Jazzy fell asleep digging her shoulder bone into my arm. lol luvya anyway Jaz! :P

Anyway, okay, I think I'll survive now. :P Jazzy has better pics of the concert so when I get 'em I'll prolly post some more. If you're interested. :P Which you prolly aren't. Oh well. lol

I just watched "Ella Enchanted" and we have a youth night tonight. yippee!! And, uh... not much else going on.
