May 12, 2007 - my day, or kinda, days
grrrrrrrr............. i just wrote this whole thing out then the computer messed up and i have 2 do it again!!
okay last night we went bowling...... funfunfun! i hadn't been bowling since i was 5!!
today dad saddled up rusty for me... i hadn't been riding in a looonngg time because rusty had been having so much trouble with his foot but last saturday we got special shoes on him so now he's doing great. we have 10 acres, in the front we have our house, then behind that a wooded creek. behind the creek is all pastureland. we have two pastures, a goat pen, a small barn, but other than that it's all open fields. so i got to ride him all around that, it was great! there's just something about being out in nature, God's creation, just you and your horse... and a mini donkey that follows you around :P... and God, of course! our house is surrounded by mountains (all at a distance, of course) so it makes for great scenery. so i was spent about... i dunno, 2 hours?... riding around looking at God's beautiful creation.... it's therapy.... lol! gives you lots of prayer time, too! :D kinda like you were saying, sarah... God made those wildflowers for... me!!! he made the mountains, the grass, the sky for us!! wow.... :D reminds me of a poem i wrote once when we went to mt. magazine... it's not very good but here it is:
“Mountains”
Mountains, mountains
Stretching so high,
Reaching up to touch the sky,
Then stooping down,
Down low to the ground.
Mountains, mountains
Far and wide.
I stand and look upon them with pride,
For I know their Creator, He also made me.
He made everything in the world, you see.
Mountains, mountains,
Ever so beautiful,
Never boring to look at,
Never dull.
When I look upon them,
I know they are not made by men,
Only the Divine Creator.

so anyway then i led eliza and laura around on him a bit, then put him back in the pasture. boy, was he glad to get that hot saddle off! and he was sweaty!! really sweaty! ick! :( but anyway... then we had to vaccinate all 21 lambs... triple augh! (sarah's word!) and they are all so dumb so it takes a long time, lol! (right, sarah?)
well i'd better go.... i will post a pic tomorrow, and no, sarah, u can't see it yet, u will see it tomorrow morning!! do u have that much patience?? lol

May 8, 2007 - another poem
alright well after saying yesterday that i hadn't written anything lately, i wrote a poem last night... kinda off of the quote i posted yesterday...
here it is:
We’re not saved because we do things,
All of your efforts amount to none.
It’s only by His grace we are saved,
not because of anything we’ve done.
Your efforts are vain, though, if you wish,
You can try and try all your life.
Working, toiling, searching for answers,
All it will bring is more trouble and strife.
And by His love He sent His Son.
He loved us, not for who we were,
But for what we would become.
We do things because we are saved,
And we want to do the work of God.
Are you one of His children?
Have you been saved and cleansed by His blood?
You’ll want to tell others of Him.
Tell them of His love for us,
Tell them to repent of their sin.
For that is our purpose,
The reason that we’re here;
To worship Him and tell others,
You can do it, don’t fear!
God will give you the strength
To do what He wills,
Just do what He says to,
Do what you feel.

Going about their daily routine
unkowing of the One unseen.
Unknowing of the Son He sent
to save them if they’ll only repent.
Unknowing of His promise to all
who have sinned because of the fall.
Unknowing of the curse of sin
that condemns them to death lest they come to Him.
Unknowing of His love for them—
unfailing love—despite their sin.
Unknowing that they are not promised tomorrow,
unknowing of the things that after death will follow.
Unknowing that if they’ll just call on His name,
He’ll take all their burdens, their debt, and their blame.
How will they know these things if we don’t tell?
If we keep it to ourselves, will they go to hell?
I don’t want that to happen, and neither do you
so, let us do what Jesus wants us to.
He told us to go into all the nations,
baptizing them, His precious creations.
Let’s not hold back! Let’s not wait!
Today’s the day of salvation for all who call on His name!

April 16, 2007 - A Prayer
here is a poem i wrote....
I worship You God,
I fall on my knees before You.
I pray You will help me this day
to do what You want me to.
I need Your guidance,
I need Your help, Your love
I can’t do it on my own,
My mistakes would be a ton.
I do make mistakes,
And very sorry I am,
Because for my sins You died,
God’s precious Lamb.
For this sinful world,
You took the blame
Of all of our sins,
The sorrow, the shame.
You took the punishment
we ought to have taken
God turned His back on You,
Alone and forsaken.
Into the grave they placed You,
Then, on the third day,
You rose again
Defeating the grave!
Thank You, dear Jesus
For what You have done.
Thank You, dear God,
For sending Your Son.

“Keep On”
You know you’re different,
They do too.
You don’t know why,
But they look at you.
They wonder why you’re like that,
They think that you are odd,
I know sometimes it’s tempting,
But do not follow the crowd.
I know it hurts sometimes,
Keep on fighting.
I know it’s hard sometimes,
Keep on trying.
I know you’re trying to find
the reason why you’re here,
But just trust God,
He understands your fear.
You know the truth, but still it hurts.
He’s made you who you are for a reason,
You know but you don’t understand.
He’s placed you where you are in this season.
I know it hurts sometimes,
Keep on fighting.
I know it’s hard sometimes,
Keep on trying.
You wonder, is it worth it?
Or should I just be like them?
Yes, I guess I’m happy,
But I’m also suffering.
Don’t do it.
Don’t give in.
It will be worth it
In the end.
I know it hurts sometimes,
Keep on fighting.
I know it’s hard sometimes,
Keep on trying.
And yes, you’ll get questions.
And yes, you get ridiculed,
But just ignore them,
And a stronger relationship with God you’ll build.
For His opinions are the ones that matter,
So don’t worry about what they think.

March 9, 2007 - A picture and a poem...
Hello friends,
I hope you are all having a great day. I thought I'd post and let you know how it's going.
The kids are growing so fast! When we let them out they start running and hopping and bouncing and they climb on anything they can, and try to climb on anything they can't! :)

February 2, 2007 - Snow!!!!
We finally got some snow!!!! Yay!!!! A lot of it melted today but it was fun while it lasted!
Babies Junior, Snickers, and Heidi are all doing good, cold, but good! :)
The other day when I was out there, Junior decided to go for a swim. It was very sad but also quite funny. I was sitting in the goat shed holding Heidi when I heard a splash and knew Junior had jumped into their water tub! I put Heidi down and was about to go pull him out of the water but he had already jumped out. I grabbed him up, but he protested (I'm sure it was cold when I touched him, with his fur so wet) so I put him back down by his momma to see if she'd dry him off but she wouldn't so I wrapped him up inside my coat and got him warmed up! They certainly keep us on our toes! :D
Well I have to go but here's a poem I wrote the other day:
“Snow”
Flittering, falling, fluttering through the trees.
White and glittering, it does please.
Looks like sugar, fluffy and white,
But when you go out in it, the cold will bite.
Very cold, yes, ‘tis true,
But, as you know, snow can be fun, too.
Make a snowball and throw it!
Snowmen are fun, you know it!
Snow angels are a joy,
For every girl and boy.
So play to your heart’s desire,
Then go in, warm yourself by the fire.

Hey Everyone!
Just went out to check on the goats and they're still holding out.
Here's a pic I just took of Kissy pregnant! :) Still as cute as ever. 
Oh, and here's another poem I wrote a while ago.
“Animals”
Animals can cheer you up when you’re sad,
Wipe away your tears,
And love you,
Even when you’re mad.
Animals can be a friend when you’re lonely,
Yes, a friend they can be,
Not a pet
only.
You can tell them things
You want no one else to hear,
They’re always ready to listen,
And willing to lend an ear.

Hey everyone!!
How are you all? I'm doing great!
We're going ice skating tomorrow! I can't wait! I haven't been ice skating in about 4 years... so it should be interesting! 
But I'm sure it will be fun!

“The Stallion”
Moving graceful,
Running in step.
Muscles rippling,
His rhythm is kept.
He runs and runs,
Through flowers and weeds,
Through bushes and gardens,
Though forests of trees.
Mane and tail flying,
His hooves strike the ground
With a rhythmic beat,
A thud-thud-thud sound.
Who is this creature,
This graceful being?
It’s a horse, of course!
A horse who is fleeing.
Anyway, I better go!
