A Dieter's Prayer

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want;
He maketh me to lie down on vinyl-covered gym mats.
He leadeth me to flavored calorie-free waters;
He restoreth my goals.
He diverteth me from the path of midnight snaking for my health's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the Vendors of Pastry,
I will fear no weevil; for thou art with me;
My diet and exercises, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
Spread with veggies and low-fat protein;
Thou steameth my fish in foil,
My resolve runneth over.
Surely, if I follow this living plan all the days of my life,
My hips will be slim forever.
Amen.

Thanks for visiting my blog and for the opportunity to meet you in person today. Here again, with this post, you have proven your worth to me as a vital part of my existence. This is really funny and real. I'm off to read Psalm 23 and remind myself how I loss weight a long time ago. I think it had something to do with a scripture in Hebrews regarding God being a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. I spent time doing that while exercising and forgot about losing weight and the reduced dress sizes was my reward. Uhm...I still wear about that same size but its not as comfortable, maybe I need to spend more time w/Him, you think?! I'll keep you posted on my progress.

I love this! I'm sending it to my mom, who is trying to get motivated to get back into her habit of going to Curves having an upper respiratory infection that lasted for weeks and weeks! This will brighten her day.
