I've been a bit worried about having my granddaughter three days per week all summer but so far we've been having a great time. In addition to my granddaughter, I also have a friend's daughter coming to "help" me. This has been a BIG BLESSING! Today, we did some reading, some art work, and chapter two of Dr. Keller's Pre-Level Chemistry. Both the girls made marshmallow molecules and learned that there are "rules" for atoms as well as for kids! (See photo above) Then we made homemade lasagna - one for me and one for my daughter-in-law to take home after work. That was fun. And finally, we went to the pool. Now, the girls are playing while waiting for their moms to get here and I am relaxing on my computer. I think I'm going to make it!! PS: I also learned that microfiber tableclothes are GREAT! I have a white one that the girls painted on, drew on with markers, and colored on with crayons. It all came out in the wash! |
