August 9, 2008 - Ah!

Ah!  As in the relaxed "ah!".  I had just taken some brownies out of the oven (for after church tomorrow morning) and set them down on the stove.  I could smell the sweet chocolate as I cut the brownies into little squares.  I looked down at the knife I was cutting them with and there was some brownie still clinging to its edges.  It looked so good...

Ah!  As in the painful "ah!".  I was careless enough to burn my tongue!  Ow ow ow...

(Two minutes later...)  Ah!  As in the panicky "ah!".  I had plopped myself down on the computer seat and the horrible thought plopped into my head: exactly when was the last time I had updated my blog?!  I am such an unfaithful blog writer!  Perhaps some people are meant to be artists rather than writers.  I'm beginning to think it's impossible to do both, even if I'm just writing blog entries.  Sigh!

So here I am, writing down my thoughts.  But I've only written about the most unimportant things imaginable, compared to all the great and exciting things I did today.  Today at the...Renaissance Faire!

I was so excited when I heard we were going there to celebrate Tinuviel's birthday.  (It was a month-late celebration, because her sixteenth birthday was in July while we were at camp, but - AH! - that's another story!!!  Must stay on track...)

Most of my family went.  Everyone but my mom and younger brother, DXD.  He didn't want to go, and my mom had errands to run.  So, off my dad went with the rest of the kids!  You wouldn't believe the size of the Renaissance Fair.  It was huge!  Not like what my dad imagined it would be like, the size of a football field.  What we all loved was that all the rides there were either powered by people's muscles or by gravity.  The only electric things you'd find there would be cameras and cell phones brought by the visitors.  It was so charming...everyone was just walking around, many of them in medieval outfits, just having a good time.  My camera stopped working at the very start of our adventure, so I brought out my handy-dandy sketchbook and pen.  (Haaalelujah!)  Mister Cool got to go on the first ride.  Come to think of it,  Tinuviel and I never went on any rides (mainly because we had a skirts and you had to have your legs apart for most of them).  But we still had great fun!  I kept repeating to people how I wished I could live there, or at least work there.  :)

One of the performers there was quite excellent.  He had several whips, and kept snapping them through the air and doing several tricks with them (some of which included snapping pretzel sticks in two while they were still in the air, cracking the whip to create the a tune to the songs people requested, and flinging it around volunteers without them feeling a thing).  I loved the last part, where he dipped the whip in oil or something like that and flung it around as it was on fire!  It was so awesome.  I made sure to do a sketch of that!

Again, I must mention how peaceful everything was!  There were performers everywhere, and people just sat down in the grass to see them.  One elderly man was just sitting next to the dirt road and playing a nice tune on the flute he carried.  There were renaissance books, music, clothing, and weaponry shops, all of which we found amazingly good.  Even the food like the "cornish dogs" my family ate for supper weren't anything like what you'd find in the frozen foods section of a grocery store.  There was a large sort of pastry wrapped around the beef, and poppy seeds sprinkled on it.  For dessert we went to a nice candy shop and bought chocolate-covered pretzel sticks (like the ones I like to make at home), and I got to taste sassafras for the first time also.  :)

The only things I didn't like were that some of the things were crewd (like the Mud Show) and several people were wearing immodest outfits, or outfits that were just plain ridiculous.  But it was so much better there than even what you see on TV nowadays (even on the Disney Channel, which is supposed to be child and teen directed).

Lord willing, we are going back to the fair next year, and will get to bring along Daydreamer, Tinuviel, and Maddie if everything works out.  We'll also have bought costumes by then, so there's a lot to look forward to.  I'm very glad we went - I had a wonderful time.  Ah!  :)

(PS - There were elephant rides!  :D)

June 8, 2008 - My Wild RV Vacation

Well, to put it in a very tiny teensy-weensy nutshell, it all started with a family discussion and it ended with a very sun burned, mosquito-bitten me.  (Why is mosquito spelled with a "qu"?)  The family discussion was to get a great, huge recreational vehicle.  In other words, a trailer.  My dad's been wanting one for sixteen years now, and my mom finally gave in.  (It was way easy to persuade us kids to get it - we all loved the idea!)

We've actually been through two wild RV vacations since the last time I've written.  The first one, near the Navy Base on the edge of Lake Michigan, was proabably the most fun.  And, not to mention, the less-mud-and-more-sand one.  We got to wade in the cold lake waters and search for shells and seaglass (or, lakeglass?) on the beaches.  We also took pictures with my camera, but they're on Tinuviel's laptop right now.  :(

But today I'd mainly like to write about the second trip, which I just arrived home from half an hour ago...

(Hey, wait!  Let me put it in story mode for you.  :D)

When she first stepped foot in the place (Fish Lake Beach Camp Resort, it was called), Eni looked around to see little green bugs and mosquitos flying in the humid air.  She took another step, and - splat! - into the mud went her foot.  She tried to pull it out, but the pull of the mud was stronger.  She grasped for the picnic table next to her, and in went her other foot.  The next thing Eni knew, her whole body was getting sucked into the mud, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get out.  She yelled for help, but I'm afraid help came too late.  The last thing she saw was a mosquito happily buzzing around and looking for someone to suck the blood out of.  The end.

Okay, so what if I exaggerated?  It's more fun to put people in suspense.  But, if you'd like to hear the real, G-rated story, then I suppose I'll tell you.

The first sentence was true.  Un-original name of a camp, green bugs, mosquitos...you get the picture.  Nobody really liked the place at first, as you can imagine, but once my dad and three brothers got the trailer wide enough so people could walk around in it, things weren't as bad.

One of my younger brothers DXD, as he calls himself, discovered a playground for teens eventually.  Mister Cool, my two little sisters and I had played in the little kid park earlier, and hadn't noticed the "for tots up to eight years old" sign on the fence.  So an annoying old lady came up to us and said "hey, how old are you two?"  Mister Cool replied "fourteen" and I replied "thirteen".  This was embarrassing to admit how old we were while playing on a tiny see-saw with out little sisters, but our parents had wanted us to play with them and we hadn't dicoverd the teen playground yet, as you know.  To make things worse, the lady said "well, can't you read the sign?"  Of course we could read!  Uhg.  We got off, took our little sisters and left.  But now to the other part I was telling you about...

********************

At this point, I have to go to bed.  I'll save this as a draft and tell you more tomorrow!  xD

********************

It is tomorrow now.  Let us proceed, shall we...?

DXD lead us to the other playground (haaalelujah!) and there were swings, poles to flip and balance on, monkey bars, and - the main attraction - one of thos whirl-around things that several people can hold on to that make you so dizzy just by thinking about it.  I still don't know the name of it, but it's really fun and insane.   Most of the kids were on it.  Thankfully, none of them got too sick.

And then...the pool!  We swam once that day, three times the next day, and again the day after that.  It was the perfect temperature.  In fact, I think because of all my swims I'm the cleanest I've ever been.  (I took a shower after every time I swam, so that's five showers in three days!  I felt too clean, because I'm not the take-a-shower-every-day type.)  Although on the second to last day, some family friends came to visit and while we were swimming a kid threw up in the pool.  I guess that's trailer park living for you...

It also rained a whole lot.  There was a large pavillion near the teen playground, so all of the kids who were outside ran to it.  It was really crowded.  Tinuviel, Mister Cool, DXD, Kung Fu Kid and I met two nice girls during that time who let us use their i-pod player.  Mister Cool is the only person in my family who owns an i-pod, so he hooked his up and we all listened to the music (while playing pass with a basketball :D).  While the same friends I mentioned earlier where visiting, we got to roast s'mores in the pavillion.  They were Y-U-M-M-Y, but everyone only got one each because we ran out of chocolate bars.  Those who wanted to  (including me) had more without the chocolate.  It was okay, but it didn't taste too s'more-ish anymore.  Plus it was still raining hard, so the fire went out quickly!  :P

On the last day, Sunday, my family piled into our van at 8:00 A.M. and traveled to a really awesome church.  The only un-awesome thing was that it was an hour and a half away - driving there took more time than driving to Fish Lake Beach Camp Resort!  (Maybe I should call it FLBCR? Though even that's a mouthfull.)  My dad wanted to go to that particular church because they were moving on to be an Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC), like the one he's a pastor of.  I really liked the church.  It was traditional, yet modern.  Cool, yet everyone still wore nice clothes.  Which made it cooler!  The choir was also really good.  (I really wish the church my dad's a pastor of was more like that...it needs to be more cool so we can get more young members!)  At the end of church, some of the teens there served a lunch feast to everyone that was really tastey.  (The feast was tastey, not everyone.  I'm confusing myself now!  o_-)  Dessert was even better, and there was a large selection to choose from.  :)

(The only thing I didn't like about going to that particualr church is that they put reserved seats for my family at the very front row!  It was nice of them, but I felt like it was making us say: "Hey, look at us!  We're the center of attention here!"  Or perhaps it's just me needing to be more social....

The drive home was long.  My dad bought each kid a snack and a drink at a Mobil gas station, though, so that was nice.  When we were back, we swam for half an hour, then packed our things.  By the time we got back home, it was 8:00 P.M. and we were tired.  My bed felt so nice, and I didn't have to go to sleep to the sound of my two little sisters arguing over "who has the most covers".  It rained all night.  Which is good, if you're wondering, because I like the sound of rain.  :)  The last thing I saw before I went to bed was a little mosquito happily buzzing around my room, looking for a way out.  (Or looking for someone to suck the blood out of.  But I like to think it was the first one.  ;D)  The end.

(PS - Apparently people who resemble Dustfinger freakishly well like hanging around pools.  Tinuviel, Mister Cool and I discovered another on our trip - and he looks even more like we imagined him than the first!  o_o)

More adventures coming up, I hope!  (You probably are either asleep or have skipped most of the story at this point, but oh well.)  Until next time...

May 4, 2008 - New Life and New Blogs

My siblings and I found some exciting discoveries recently that I've decided to write about.
First thing, there's a full nest of speckled mallard duck eggs right near the front entrance of my family's church!  We are so excited, and hope they hatch soon.
That's what I was going to write when I saved this entry as a draft awhile ago.  But guess what?  The last time we went to church, all eleven of the eggs were cracked, and they lead in a straight line right to the water's edge.  They must have hatched in the night, because the day before we had been at a memorial service at our church and had seen the mother duck still sitting on them.  We haven't seen the newly hatched ducklings yet, but we did see the mother duck by the water today, and perhaps they were with her.  (The silhouettes were all far away in a pond next to the church, so it would be hard to see any ducklings from that distance.)  It'll be cool seeing the ducklings grow into ducks, if we get to see them much.
Also, about a week ago my mom discovered that a bird had built her nest near our garage - right attached to one of our wreaths!  It was a smart place to build her home, because it's secure and probably won't blow in the wind a lot, it's sheltered by the garage roof, and it's high up.
Yeah, uh...you're probably thinking that I need a life, right?  "Oh, look!  A bird built a nest --- how exciting!"  I probably do, but it's not as lame as it sounds, because here's the (slightly) exciting part!
A few days ago, we discovered that the nest contained four turquoise robin's eggs while the mother bird was away.  Never fear, my good friend...we didn't touch them, crack them, poke them, fry them, cook them, clean them, toast them, roast them, spill them, spoil them, freeze them, whisk them, smell them, paint them, hide them, set them on fire, dress them in little dolly clothes, take them away to a secret laboratory to create mutant robin clones, or any such things.  ;)  Also, we're making sure not to play basketball until the eggs hatch and fly away (not the eggs, the birds).  The hoop's practically right next to the nest, and could make it tumble down.  That would be a bit of a disaster.  :^S
So we're pretty excited about the eggs, and especially for when they hatch.  ^_^  Whenever I see a robin, it reminds me of were I used to live in Connecticut.  There were a whole lot of robins there, and a few times they built nests in our yard.  But...I'm sorry to say that we were little and handled them often (once my brothers even broke one).  But now we've learned our lesson --- I hope.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that my little sister (not the littlest, but the one before) has, with the help of Tinuviel, gotten a blog!  She's very good at writing, and Tinuviel says she only needs a little correcting.  I am so glad I don't have to say "my little sister, er, but not the littlest one, uh, the one after my little brother, er, who's after me, um, er, uuuh..." whenever I mention her; now she has a name, LittleReader7.  So why don't you check out her blog?
Also, KungFuKid has created a new blog.  He says that he doesn't like his other one much because it was all about kung fu and nothing else.  So now he has a "normal" blog, as he calls it, too.  Click here to see!
I forgot how many people making new blogs there were!  It seems that they're all doing it at the same time, too.  And to make things worse, I only have ten minutes to write about them all before supper time!  You're going to see a whole lot of links to blogs coming up.  Okay, let me see...
Tinvuiel has also made a new blog!  Yes, I said Tinuviel alone.  She and Nimrodel have parted from their previous blog, NimrodelTinuviel, and created separate blogs.  Click here to see Tinuviel's new blog, and if you'd also like to take a peak at Nimrodel's new blog, click here.
The last two new blogs belong to Qwerty (located here) and TeaPartyGirl, who now has a new name, Maddie Hardbottle (or just "Maddie", if you prefer that).

I just realized that this is the last click coming up!  Haaalelujah!  I'm going to torment you first, though.  You must find which "click" has a link to it!  Click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click CLICK!  >:D  If this is too hard for you --- hopefully not --- then contact your nearest adult, sibling, computer geek, detective, math teacher, annoying neighbor, not-so-annoying neighbor, five-year-old, flying pie, the monster under your bed (and yes, you've got one), famous ballerina, coach, gerbil, hobo, scientist, artist, princess, stranger, cowboy, pop star, comic strip character, or clown.  In other words, pretty much anybody you see around the world, because all you have to do is scroll around till you see a spot where you can click on, and you'd have to be amazingly dumb not to know that.  (No offense to those of you who actually don't know --- I'm hoping that's no-one.)  Got to run!

(P.S. - The awards I've been given recently are coming soon to my blog...Tinuviel says that it's so easy putting them up, I should be able to figure it out.  Wish me luck!)

April 24, 2008 - Got Everything Down . . . I think

Once again, I wasn't able to track "Dustfinger" the lifeguard down on Wednesday.  I don't mean to be a quitter or anything, but I might just stop trying to get a mental picture of him in my head altogether; I mean, is it really worth it to go to the pool a certain time on a certain day and stalk someone just to be able to draw an accurate picture? I don't think so.  It couldn't work out, and I know it's wrong to be a stalker (even if it is fun).  I suppose I was just looking for some excitement...shows you how much I need a life.  :P  (But!  If the opportunity rises when my family goes to the YMCA pool on a Wednesday on the exactly right time of 5:00 or 5:30 --- not very likely --- then I won't miss out on just seeing if he's there.  Just wanted  to let those who are strange enough (like me :P) to actually care about that matter know.)

To go to a different subject (you might be getting rather bored of the last one, as I have been blogging about it the last few entries), I finally found someone to teach me art!  He also coaches the homeschooled P.E. class my friends and I attend, so my family knows him pretty well.  I'm so excited to be in an art class again!  I must write a letter about it to my former art teacher.  She kept telling me to find another art class right away after my family moved, because I had to keep my mind sharp art-wise.  ;)

I'm trying to work on a decent artist signature.  My new art teacher has been teaching me how to paint more (which is good, because I hardly ever practice on that), but I can't to my normal signature in paint.  It's, curvy, long, and in cursive writing; something I can only do in pencil or pen.  So I'm trying to figure out what to do about that.  Should I do my initials, my first name, last name, both, just a weird design that represents my name, etc....?  There are loads of possibilities, which makes it harder.  I want to stick with my old one, but I can't!  I'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.

Oh, yes; good news!  (Well, mostly good...)  My three brothers went with my dad to my aunt and uncle's home on the farm, and they'll be gone for the whole weekend.  It's really fun because Tinuviel, my mom, and I can stay up late eating popcorn and watching chick-flicks --- without my brothers groaning and asking if we could switch to a "more boyish" movie.  The bad news is that I'll still miss them a lot, and I'll be extremely bored because Tea Party Girl will still be gone the exact three days they'll be gone, and I won't have Mister Cool to play with either.  :( Speaking of Mister Cool, I've been given two awards (one from Nimrodel and Tinuviel, and one from Scaryman).  I said "speaking of Mister Cool" because he's extremely random and strange (most of the time :P).  The subject of awards was random, and the award Scaryman has given me is kind of strange...but you'll see once I get them up.  ;)  Just thought I should let everyone know.

More randomness...I was going to set up a new blog for my plush toy, Harry, today (you might already know about his and his best friend, Spidey,'s blog name, ParkerOsborne), but he begged and begged to go see the cows and farmland with Mister Cool, so I finally let him go.  Mister Cool will take photos of himself with Harry, and then when the two get back I can help Harry make a new blog.  Maybe...

Am I boring you with this entry?  I'm not used to making such long ones, but I needed to tell everyone what's been happening around here, especially since I haven't written lately.  And yes, this is considered a "long entry" for me.  Or at least "slightly long".  ;)

Yes, indeed, I'd better stop now.  It's a good stopping point, my stomach's growling, and my little sister is on myLittlePony.com --- and it's freaking me out!  o_o

Until next time (which might take awhile, since I'm sort of a procrastinator)...

April 16, 2008 - What's Happenin'

It's Wednesday, but I won't be able to see "Dustfinger".  Y_Y
My mom is taking a few of my siblings to the open swim for homeshoolers the YMCA holds, but that won't be at the right time of day.  Plus they'll only get to swim for about an hour or less, so I don't think it's worth going to the pool at all.
On the bright side, the weather is fabulous!  It's like summer (except for the school I've had to do), and although it's hot, there's plenty of cool wind.
To go to a very, very random subject, there's been a cougar lurking around the city a short distance from my home, and it was shot down yesterday.  It had somehow escaped from the zoo it had been in.  A lot of people were hurt by it, and it also killed a few.  The police finally found it and had to shoot it before it made things worse;  I saw two photos of the scene in the newspaper.  I feel safer now, and I'm relieved God prevented it from hurting more innocent civilians.
Well, I'm off to take a walk with Tinuviel and my two little sisters.  As I said before, the weather is amazing, and we're not going to sit around watching TV and playing on computers while it's still so nice outside.  Who could let a day like this go by without taking it in?

April 10, 2008 - Dustfinger the Lifeguard?!

Apparently he thought being a lifeguard at the YMCA might pay better than being a fire-eater.
Okay, if you haven't read the books Inkheart or Inkspell, then you probably have no idea what I'm talking about.  In a nutshell, Dustfinger is the most cool character in a book ever, who the movie of Inkheart will most likely change a lot.  So don't trust it if you haven't read the books.  Anywaaay...he's a poor fire-eater who was somehow read out of a book, and he really wants to get back to his own world.  But I won't spoil anything else about him, in case you haven't read the books.  And you probably haven't, because only people who haven't read them need to read this.  Now I'm rambling.
Back to the real story.  So I was swimming in the pool with my younger brother (known as Kung Fu Kid on HSB) and one of my best friends, Tea Party Girl, when we noticed that the lifeguard looked exactly how we all picture Dustfinger looking like.  So I decided to sort of spy on him as much as I could without being noticed (so a mental image of how he looks would form in my head, so that I could draw him as Dustfinger --- although I think I'll omit the Hawaiian swim shorts xD).
Alas, after a few minutes he switched shifts and another lifeguard took over.  But, fortunately, I had seen the time of when he came  there and when he left.  (It was from 5:00 or so to 6:30, I think, on a Wednesday.)  So this Wednesday I'm going to try to go to the YMCA pool again and see if he's there, because besides his hair I've almost completely forgot how he looks like now.  And if I forget, how will I ever draw Dustfinger?!  It's so annoying when you see someone who looks exactly like a character in a movie/book in real life, but you only see them once and that's it!  I know I'll be a stalker, but I have to!  O_O

April 9, 2008 - My Website

The bad news is...I'm not going to post any of my artwork here on HSB.  The good news...with a whole lot of help from TinuvieI, I finally have a website for my art now!  I am so excited about it.  I have most of my drawing up there, but there are still more to look forward to.  *dances*

Go to www.caroline.runaway-muse.net  to see it!  You know you want to.....

April 7, 2008 - Hamster of Death

I know this is random, but in my first entry I told you I'd write about my pets, but I only have one left now.  One very evil hamster.  You want to see her?  Here's her picture.

Don't let that sweet little face fool you.  She's really about to attack.  She killed the other two hamsters...they were sweet little things, but she has no mercy.  No, siree!

Watch out, for she goes by many names.  The Hamster of Death is one of them names she likes to be called, but legend has it that long ago she went by the name Jeniffer.  Keep looking out for her, fellers!  She's out there, and yer hamster just might be next on her list!

April 7, 2008 - Life and Chaos

My younger brother completely destroyed the front door of my house today.  He was having a fit of anger because he didn't want to go with my mom some place, and then the next thing I knew, the door was down.  Now it's more like a window, and I can step outside without even opening it.  It's actually pretty fun, but such a disaster!  (And it'll cost a whole bunch of money to replace the door.  <_<)

I think I'll take a picture of the door/window and load it onto HSB!  (Right after I empty my part of the dishwasher in the kitchen...)

Okay, here is me half-way inside and half-way outside.  And this is a photo of some of the shattered glass on the doorway.  It was also everywhere on the ground (inside and outside!), but Tinuviel, my mom and my brother, Mister Cool, swept it all up.

Other than the broken door disaster, the day was pretty normal.  But I didn't get to play with any of my friends (which, thankfully, I usually get to do each day).  Oh, well...there'll be other times.  Will write later!

(Oh, by the way, I'm finally getting some Spring weather where I live!  It's so nice, and there's a great amount of wind --- not too cold, not too hot.  Just the way I like it.  Perhaps I can take a walk with Tinuviel out there before the day ends.  :D)

March 27, 2008 - Hmmm...

Snow is coming down in gigantic clumps outside.  This is the second snowfall this Spring, and I'm getting rather tired of it...

To go to a completely random subject, I'm thinking of posting some of my drawings here on HSB.  I can't find any other place to show them off.  I might do one every entry starting tomorrow (assuming that'll be the next time I write in my blog).  I'm still not sure, though...perhaps you can share your thoughts and tell me what you think about the idea.

Well, I'd better get off the computer now.  I have to get ready for lunch, then for the homeschool P.E. class my siblings and I go to right after that.  I don't like the warm-ups we have to do there, but the games are fun and quite a few of my friends also attend the class.  ^_^

March 18, 2008 - What to Write?

I'm so upset!  I just wrote a whole blog entry on here, and then I accidentally deleted it all!  O_O  I hate it when this happens --- unfortunately, it wasn't the first time.

Oh, well.  I'll just try to forget how upset I am and write about other things.  Like the weather!  How, um....exciting....

If there were three words to describe the weather today, they would be "cold", "wet", and "muddy".    Which isn't good, unless you're the kind of person who likes to be freezing, soaked, and sinking in mud up to your eyeballs.  (Well, the mud part isn't that bad.  But it's fun to exaggerate.  ;D)

Hmm.  I can hear my sister, Tinuviel, being attacked by my two little sisters in the other room.  I'd better go and investigate.  Sorry for the extremely short entry, but my mind is blank and I honestly don't know what to write about.

March 7, 2008 - New Look

At last, a new layout!  Well, I only had to endure my old one for a day, but it seemed like forever.  Many thanks to my big sister, Tinuviel, for making it all possible...this layout's so much nicer than my old one!

Feel free to post a comment saying how you like it (or how you don't like it, but I hope not  :P).  If you'd also like Tinuviel to make you a layout, check out her template blog, Nienna Designs!

March 6, 2008 - A Fresh Start

It feels so nice to have a blog with nothing written on it!  I recently deleted my old one because I needed a fresh start.  All of the blog entries I had written were so...boring.  I hope nobody is upset with me for deleting it, but I hadn't gotten many visitors anyway.

Hmm...where to begin?  I suppose I should tell you a bit about myself, since I've already told you about my blog.  Remind me if I blab on a bit...

Well, I'm a girl, to start with.  It would be horrible if years after reading this you still thought I was an extremely girlish boy.  I'm twelve years old, but in May I'm turning thirteen.  I still can't imagine myself as a teenager, but that's how it'll be.  I have brown eyes and dirty-blonde hair --- at least, that's what everyone tells me.  My hair looks brown to me, but what does it matter?  o_0

You could say art is my life.  I love to draw, and am always drawing more.  I especially like to draw things from the Lord of the Rings, particularly the LotR characters my sister and I have created.  I rarely color my artwork, but you can do a whole lot of things with a blank sheet of computer paper and a 2H pencil.

I also enjoy photography, but not nearly as much as art.

So...that's a few main facts about myself.  Don't worry, I'll tell you about my friends, pets, family, etc. later on.  Right now I've got to go to bed...it's about 9:30 PM, and my parents don't like me staying on the computer too long.
