May 4, 2008 - New Life and New Blogs

My siblings and I found some exciting discoveries recently that I've decided to write about.
First thing, there's a full nest of speckled mallard duck eggs right near the front entrance of my family's church!  We are so excited, and hope they hatch soon.
That's what I was going to write when I saved this entry as a draft awhile ago.  But guess what?  The last time we went to church, all eleven of the eggs were cracked, and they lead in a straight line right to the water's edge.  They must have hatched in the night, because the day before we had been at a memorial service at our church and had seen the mother duck still sitting on them.  We haven't seen the newly hatched ducklings yet, but we did see the mother duck by the water today, and perhaps they were with her.  (The silhouettes were all far away in a pond next to the church, so it would be hard to see any ducklings from that distance.)  It'll be cool seeing the ducklings grow into ducks, if we get to see them much.
Also, about a week ago my mom discovered that a bird had built her nest near our garage - right attached to one of our wreaths!  It was a smart place to build her home, because it's secure and probably won't blow in the wind a lot, it's sheltered by the garage roof, and it's high up.
Yeah, uh...you're probably thinking that I need a life, right?  "Oh, look!  A bird built a nest --- how exciting!"  I probably do, but it's not as lame as it sounds, because here's the (slightly) exciting part!
A few days ago, we discovered that the nest contained four turquoise robin's eggs while the mother bird was away.  Never fear, my good friend...we didn't touch them, crack them, poke them, fry them, cook them, clean them, toast them, roast them, spill them, spoil them, freeze them, whisk them, smell them, paint them, hide them, set them on fire, dress them in little dolly clothes, take them away to a secret laboratory to create mutant robin clones, or any such things.  ;)  Also, we're making sure not to play basketball until the eggs hatch and fly away (not the eggs, the birds).  The hoop's practically right next to the nest, and could make it tumble down.  That would be a bit of a disaster.  :^S
So we're pretty excited about the eggs, and especially for when they hatch.  ^_^  Whenever I see a robin, it reminds me of were I used to live in Connecticut.  There were a whole lot of robins there, and a few times they built nests in our yard.  But...I'm sorry to say that we were little and handled them often (once my brothers even broke one).  But now we've learned our lesson --- I hope.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that my little sister (not the littlest, but the one before) has, with the help of Tinuviel, gotten a blog!  She's very good at writing, and Tinuviel says she only needs a little correcting.  I am so glad I don't have to say "my little sister, er, but not the littlest one, uh, the one after my little brother, er, who's after me, um, er, uuuh..." whenever I mention her; now she has a name, LittleReader7.  So why don't you check out her blog?
Also, KungFuKid has created a new blog.  He says that he doesn't like his other one much because it was all about kung fu and nothing else.  So now he has a "normal" blog, as he calls it, too.  Click here to see!
I forgot how many people making new blogs there were!  It seems that they're all doing it at the same time, too.  And to make things worse, I only have ten minutes to write about them all before supper time!  You're going to see a whole lot of links to blogs coming up.  Okay, let me see...
Tinvuiel has also made a new blog!  Yes, I said Tinuviel alone.  She and Nimrodel have parted from their previous blog, NimrodelTinuviel, and created separate blogs.  Click here to see Tinuviel's new blog, and if you'd also like to take a peak at Nimrodel's new blog, click here.
The last two new blogs belong to Qwerty (located here) and TeaPartyGirl, who now has a new name, Maddie Hardbottle (or just "Maddie", if you prefer that).

I just realized that this is the last click coming up!  Haaalelujah!  I'm going to torment you first, though.  You must find which "click" has a link to it!  Click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click CLICK!  >:D  If this is too hard for you --- hopefully not --- then contact your nearest adult, sibling, computer geek, detective, math teacher, annoying neighbor, not-so-annoying neighbor, five-year-old, flying pie, the monster under your bed (and yes, you've got one), famous ballerina, coach, gerbil, hobo, scientist, artist, princess, stranger, cowboy, pop star, comic strip character, or clown.  In other words, pretty much anybody you see around the world, because all you have to do is scroll around till you see a spot where you can click on, and you'd have to be amazingly dumb not to know that.  (No offense to those of you who actually don't know --- I'm hoping that's no-one.)  Got to run!

(P.S. - The awards I've been given recently are coming soon to my blog...Tinuviel says that it's so easy putting them up, I should be able to figure it out.  Wish me luck!)

Wow! Long exciting post!
Yeh, the only thing wrong with the bird near your house thing, is that it might fly in the clubhouses again........ and you know how much that bird "messed up" the clubhouse. Well, Nimrodel and Tinuviel said that we were going to re-paint it! *Dose a happy joy dance!!* It needs it to. I would rather have it smell like paint then bird droppings! haha.
Can't wait to see you again. I might be able to Friday afternoon,(today), because my mom had me do all of my Friday chores on Thursday.

Well, farewell!
