October 4, 2008 - Guess Who Finally Got On HSB Again!

Alright, so it's been a little while since I've last written a blog entry.

OK, a LONG while. Stop staring at me like that. o_o

But hakuna matata. I haven't dropped dead, been chained up, fallen into a black hole, been eaten by a rabid iguana from Madagascar, or been transferred to a public school (*shudder*). In fact, the worst thing that's happened since you last heard from me was earlier today, when I scraped my shin after falling down a few stairs. (Happens all the time...) Mister Cool says I should go around wearing shin-guards. But of course that would be, like, totally NOT cool. :D
Speaking of how people talk in the mall, I was just there with Tinuviel, Maddie, Daydreamer, and my mom. Tinuviel and I finally got our ears pierced! It stung a little, but I was perfectly calm. (OK, so the others said it looked like I was going to cry. But I didn't! :D)
But before I get into more stuff (and believe me: There's a lot), I'm going to take a deep breath and finally fill out a tag I've received from Daydreamer. Here goes:

1. Where is your cell phone? I don't have a cell phone.

2. Where is your significant other? What's that?

3. Your hair color? Curly, frizzy, dirty blond, slightly longer than shoulder-length

4. Your mother? Doing laundry, I think

5. Your father? Grilling meat for burgers tonight

6. Your favorite thing? Favorite thing or favorite thing to do? Well, I can't really answer the first question yet, but my favorite thing to do is probably drawing or painting.

7. Your dream last night? Can't remember. But I'm sure that if I think of weird random things all day, my thoughts must be especially weird while I'm asleep. xD

8. Your dream/goal? I have several:

1) To grow in God
2) To be a painter/some other kind of artist and inspire people with my work
3) To illustrate a book (maybe one of Tinuviel's future works! :D)
4) To someday marry a chivalrous Christian guy

9. The room you're in? My family's computer room...where the computers are...because I'm obviously on the computer

10. Your hobby? If I can only name one: Drawing

11. Your fears? I added an "s" because there are much more than one! Box Jellyfish, sharks, swimming in the deep parts of the ocean, fire, suffocating, drowning, gangsters, Barney, Big Bird, and zooombiiies

12. Where do you want to be in 6 years? College, I guess

13. Where were you last night? At home

14. What you're not? (What kind of question is this? I could name a BILLION things I'm not! Well, here are a few...) Vegetarian, Pro Choice, Democrat, sane (:D), orphan, tomboy, writer, musician, made of plastic. Happy?

15. One of your wish-list items? A book that tells how to draw Anime

16. Where you grew up? I'm not quite a 'grown-up' yet, but all the same: I was born in Fortwoth, Texas and lived there till I was two. Then my family moved to Miami, Florida, and stayed till I was six. We then moved to my favorite childhood place, East Lyme, Connecticut. When I was eleven we moved to where I am now, Waukegan, Illinois. So far it's been about two and a half years here.

17. The last thing you did? Found my two little sisters playing with make-up when they were told not to by my mom (busted!)

18. What are you wearing? Studs (I can't wear real earrings yet), white beaded necklace, white shirt with gray camisole underneath, pale blue jeans, white shoes

19. Your TV? (Again, what kind of question is this?) It's not on right now

20. Your pet? An evil cannibal hamster

21. Your computer? Um, it says the letters "HP" on it

22. Your mood? Tired

23. Missing someone? A lot of people; mostly relatives that I hardly ever get to see. Also a friend.

24. Your car? Well, my dad owns a cool BMW for driving to work, but usually the car I go in is the family car, a twelve-passenger Ford van

25. Something you're not wearing? Socks

26. Favorite store? I'm not much of a shopper, actually (yes, that came from a girl)

27. Your summer? I felt a bit idle during the summer, but it was fun all the same (amazingly, it feels good to be back into schoolwork, waking up early and all!)

28. Love someone? God, my family, my friends

29. Your favorite color? Green and black, like Harry! :D But green is a better answer, because any artist knows that black is a shade, not a color *snobbish smirk at those who say their favorite color is black* >:D

30. When is the last time you laughed? During the car trip to the mall earlier today

31. Last time you cried? Don't remember

FACEPAINTING

Wheeere tooo staaart? Oh yes, I got to do some face painting at a little girl's birthday party a few weeks ago. She lives across the street and everyone was celebrating her third birthday. There were lots of kids there; all very cute but picky, too. The first kid up was a little girl that Tinuviel babysits sometimes. I was ready to paint something like a pony, flowers, balloons, a pink heart; one of those things that little girls like. Well, guess what happened.
Eni: "What would you like?"
Cute little girl: "A skeleton!"
OK then...
That was...unexpected. All the same, it was fun. I went home knowing that I had made more than a dozen little kids happy. And with $25 in my pocket. ;)

PHYS. ED.

Homeschool P.E. is back! *does the banana dance* It stopped for the summer; although I was glad to have a break, I still missed the fun and exercise. It's kind of late to be mentioning this (I mean, it's been a few months since summer ended) but I just now noticed that I never had before. And P.E.'s a big part of my life, since it's every Tuesday and Thursday. Just thought you all should know. :)

AVATAR

I guess this is a not-so-important thing to be mentioning, but recently my brothers have introduced Tinuviel, Bonnie, Elizabeth, and me to a great TV series called Avatar: the Last Airbender (2005-2008). It's really good and is all done in Anime. But of course that's not the only reason why I like it. The characters are great, the story itself is really good, and it's hilarious! It makes me laugh every day and has inspired me to draw Anime more. Here is a rare picture of our favorite character, Zuko, when he's actually smiling. He's one of those awesome characters with a bad life that you feel really sorry for (like Dustfinger and Harry!). I guess you'd have to know his history to like him. :)

LAMENTS

My digital camera has passed into shadow! :( First it wouldn't turn on, then weeks later it started working again, then it stopped working, then sometimes it turned on and sometimes it didn't, and now it turns on but everything is all blurry! I think it's a lens thing. My dad and I think a small accident might have caused it's nonworkingness, but neither of us is sure. We really need to find out though, because we tried calling the warranty people and they said they don't fix cameras that were damaged in an accident. Which is completely nonsensical because that's what warranties are for, right?! For accidents. Sigh! I'm really missing having a camera.

PLAYLIST

If you look to the right of this blog, you'll notice that I've created a Playlist. Now you can get a good idea of what I like to listen to and enjoy the music at the same time (I hope!). Tinuviel and I are thinking of changing my layout sometime soon because the sidebar is all messed up (notice the annoying arrows all around). Maybe I'll move it to the bottom of my blog - I don't know. Just expect something new!

WRITING?

I've started a book Tinuviel introduced to me called No Plot? No Problem! by Chris Baty, the founder of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). I don't know if I'll get into the whole NaNoWriMo thing, but I think I'll try to start writing more often and practice on my "skills". I'm not comfortable with sharing my writings with anyone yet - especially online - so I hope you all don't mind.
I have no idea why I'm even mentioning this. *sigh* Just...wish me luck? 6_9

BRACE YOURSELVES:

The orthodontists have made me a miserable metal-mouth! (In other more boring words, I got braces.) Well actually, there's not that much to be miserable about: My mouth only hurt for a few hours and it hardly hurt a bit when the braces were installed to my teeth. It's fairly easy to eat, and now I'm eating healthier. And brushing and flossing aren't as hard as everyone else says it is. I think braces will be a breeze.
(PS - Dr. Kattner, the man who had my braces done, said my family didn't have to pay a thing for them! It was such a generous gift, and I'm very thankful for it. God really is good!)

Phew! I'm sure that's not everything, but if I included all the other stuff you'd be sitting in front of your computer for who knows how long. Thanks for listening, people! ^.^
