THe beginning of my chainmaille jerkin.
All of it is about three feet long. it took me
about three weeks (hey, I was busy.) So if it took me three weeks to
finish three feet it might be done by the time I'm thirty!!!

It's really alot of fun. And if you wear it while you a riding a
motorcycle it could protect you from serious road rash. But that's not
the reason I'm making it. I'm makeing it so that when I'm swordfighting
I can claim extra protection.
This a really neat website for boffering. http://www.thealmightyguru.com/Boffer/Guide-Sword.html
This is a decent website for chainmaille:

Aug. 25, 2006 - How exciting!
That is really cool about Sophie!
How old is she? Kai is worth about $1,000...but her owner is selling her to me for $800...not as good a deal as your's but still under$1000!
What breed is she? What does she look like?
Anyway, I have to go...I am taking care of my boss' horses while she is out of town...She has 10 horses...and all of them live at her house!
So I have quite a job to do!

Actually, I really trust the people who are selling her to me so I haven't really asked much about her. So just by looking at her I would guess that she is 6-10 yrs old. I have no idea of her breed. Large black and white spots. Thick mane and tail. I haven't really paid a whole lot of attention to her (except petting her whenever I go past) But what I have seen is she seem s pretty bomb-proof.
Ten horses is a lot of horses to feed.

Well, I work for her...as a kind of farm hand-slash-exerciser for the horses-slash-house keeper, and horse feeder while she is gone...I get paid pretty well...But I also work for the local animal hospital...and I walk dogs, go on farm calls...which is where the vet comes to your house and does whatever! I also help with surgeries, and give shots, and clean cages, and all of that good stuff! I try to keep my working days liited to 2-3 days per week...sometimes less...but its because I am still in school, and have to focus on that too! even on the dyas I work, I do school when I get home...!

By the way, it sounds like you have gotten yourself a "paint" horse...is she trained yet?

Well, Its sounds like you stay busy.
Actually, Sophie is not a paint horse, but she has "paint" markings. I rode her today, and she is just wonderful. Yesterday she was being lazy, because she hadn't been ridden in a year, but today now that she knows that she has to do it she has been really willing and eager to do everything I ask her to do. She is 4-7 years old, the guy didn't know for sure (I'm going to find out though), I would guess she is 15-16 hands high, she is great with water, she really is just the perfect horse. Although she founders easily, because she is so fat, but I am going to work it off of her. And maybe breed her in a couple of years.
Ray thinks she is part Missouri Foxtrotter, but is not sure.
Have you gotten Chicken Pox?? Let's hope it's a light case.
