Quality Information & Support for Those Homeschooling in Alabama

In the event that you choose to withdraw from Everest Academy, please follow this procedure:

Withdrawal

  1. Can my child return to a school setting after homeschooling?  Yes.  The new school will probably require a copy of a transcript for the work completed at Everest Academy.  This can be obtained by filling out and submitting a Transcript Request Form.
  2. Will the new school test my child for grade placement?  Not normally, but it is up to the new school.
  3. It is up to each parent to research requirements and regulations of other schools including public schools, private schools, church schools, and colleges when considering enrollment in these institutions.
  4. All records held by Everest Academy belong to the parent/guardian of the student and will be sent to the parents on request.
  5. If a child transfers from Everest Academy before graduation, official transcripts will be made and sent to the parent along with all previous records.  Fees are applicable and completion of Transcript Request Form is required.
  6. A student must be enrolled with Everest Academy and complete a full six weeks of work and parents must turn in the applicable Transcript Request Form BEFORE an official transcript will be made. If the student has less than this amount of time with Everest Academy or does not turn in the required reports, we will send a letter stating no work can be verified.
  7. All fees must be paid before a transcript is sent to the parent.
  8. A Transcript Request Form should only be made out for the time spent at Everest Academy.  Everest Academy WILL NOT generate a transcript for any credits obtained outside of Everest Academy.  For instance, if 11th and 12th grades are completed at Everest Academy, we will not make the transcript out to include 9th and 10th grades as well.

About Everest Academy

We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.
