Explorer Program
Awesome news! Everest Academy has joined forces with the Explorer Program to provide information and opportunities for career exploration programs to high schoolers age 15 and up. Exploring is an informative, hands-on program that will allow you to experience for yourself a variety of career possibilities in a multitude of industries.
Listed below you will find some of the programs that are currently open. More programs can be found on the map above. Please make sure to respond to the contact information listed for each program and not Everest Academy.
Please note that these are ongoing programs. If you cannot make it to the meeting listed below, you can still get in on the program.
Cost for the Explorer Program is $10 per year (per Explorer Post).

Aviation & Aerospace Explorer Program
The Southern Museum of Flight would like to invite you to be a part of our Exploring program for young people who are interested in these career areas. Exploring is an informative, hands-on program that will allow you to experience for yourself a variety of career possibilities in the aviation and aerospace industries. As a member of our post, you will take part in hands-on activities that include helping restore/build an airplane to flight-ready condition!

Trinity Hospital would like to invite you to be a part of our Exploring program for young people who are interested in careers in healthcare. Oct. 13 - Alacare First Nighter at 2970 Lorna Road, Hoover 35216. at 6:30 p.m. Most people know Alacare in relation to its Hospice care services, but this will have a general Healthcare Careers focus.
Hospitality & Culinary Careers Exploring
Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. - Hospitality & Culinary Careers Exploring at Jefferson State Community College Shelby Campus for juniors or seniors who are interested in pursuing a hospitality or culinary career. The purpose of this program is to provide experiences to help young people explore career fields, assist in character development, and help them develop leadership and life skills. Twice a month throughout the year, students will meet with professors at Jeff State to get hands-on experience and exposure to their area of interest. Jeff State will match their employees and resources to the interests of the students. There will be a $10 fee for each student. (The fee will be paid at the first meeting if you choose to participate.) The meeting should last about an hour, and parents are welcome to attend. We will meet on the ground floor of the Health Sciences building of our Shelby Campus, located at the corner of Valleydale Road and Jaguar Drive.
